Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama A Family Man. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, 42, Miracle). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 2, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A Family Man is directed by Mark Williams and stars Gerard Butler, Alison Brie, Willem Dafoe, Gretchen Mol and Alfred Molina. The movie revolves around a ruthless corporate headhunter who battles his rival for control of their job placement company, until a family tragedy brings his personal and professional lives into conflict. ‘House of Cards’ Season 5 Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series House of Cards. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fifth season composed by Jeff Beal (Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Pollock, Blackfish, The Newsroom, Pollock) who received an Emmy Award, as well as three additional Emmy nominations for his work on the political drama. Michael Andrews is set to compose the original score for the upcoming comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2. The film is directed by Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2, Sex Drive) and stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini and John Cena in their roles from the original movie. They are joined by new additions Mel Gibson and John Lithgow. The movie follows Brad and Dusty as they must deal with their intrusive fathers during the holidays. Danny Elfman Composing Theme for Universal’s ‘Dark Universe’

Danny Elfman has composed a musical theme for Universal Pictures’ Dark Universe logo. The theme will make its first appearance in from of the inaugural film in the new classic monster series, Alex Kurtzman’s The Mummy starring Tom Cruise Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance & Russell Crowe, which will be released in theaters nationwide on June 9. Rhino Records to Release Soundtracks for Showtime’s ‘Twin Peaks’ Event Series

Rhino Records will release two soundtrack albums for Showtime’s Twin Peaks limited event series. The albums will feature the show’s original score composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive) who previously scored the original series, as well as the movie version. Also included is music by Chromatics. Both soundtracks will be released on September 8, 2017. The digital, CD and vinyl version of Twin Peaks (Music from the Limited Event Series) is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack release for the period dramatic thriller The Exception. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (The Young Victoria, Still Alice, Layer Cake, Kick-Ass, Stardust, 47 Ronin). The soundtrack is now available on the label’s website, where you can also listen to audio samples. The CD version is limited to 1000 copies. A digital version version will be released on May 26 and will be available to download on Amazon. The Exception is directed by David Leveaux and stars Lily James, Jai Courtney, Janet McTeer and Christopher Plummer. The movie follows a German soldier who tries to determine if the Dutch resistance has planted a spy to infiltrate the home of Kaiser Wilhelm in Holland during the onset of World War II, but falls for a young Jewish Dutch woman during his investigation. Tyler Bates has recently composed the music for the upcoming action thriller 24 Hours to Live. The film is directed by former stunt coordinator Brian Smrz (Hero Wanted) and stars Ethan Hawke, Xu Qing, Paul Anderson, Liam Cunningham and Rutger Hauer. Zachary Dean (Deadfall) wrote the screenplay based on an original script from Ron Mita & Jim McClain (S.W.A.T.). Basil Iwanyk (Sicario, The Town, Clash of the Titans) is producing the project for Thunder Road Pictures, alongside Mark Gao (The Transporter Refueled, The Warrior’s Gate) and Gregory Ouanhon for Fundamental Films. Premiering tonight is the revival of the classic TV series Twin Peaks created by David Lynch & Mark Frost and starring Kyle MacLachlan, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Everett McGill and Wendy Robie. The show’s original music is composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive) who previously scored the original series, as well as the movie version. Making its U.S. debut tonight is the British mini-series Dark Angel developed by Gwyneth Hughes based on David Wilson’s book Mary Ann Cotton: Britain’s First Female Serial Killer and starring Joanne Froggatt, Alun Armstrong, Penny Layden, Laura Morgan, Jonas Armstrong, Sam Hoare, Emma Fielding and John Hollingworth. Michael J McEvoy (Me and Orson Welles, Forget Me Not) has composed the film’s original music. The 2-parter premiered in the UK last fall and will air in the U.S. on PBS. Alberto Iglesias has signed on to score the upcoming biographical drama Yuli. The movie directed by Iciar Bollain (Even the Rain, Take My Eyes) tells the story of Cuban ballet superstar Carlos Acosta’s rise from the streets of Havana to the heights of classical ballet, becoming the first black principal guest dancer at the Royal Ballet in London. Paul Laverty (I, Daniel Blake, The Wind That Shakes the Barley) wrote the screenplay based on Acosta’s autobiography No Way Home. Universal Pictures announced that Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will be providing the music for the upcoming movie musical Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!. The film is the sequel to the studios’ 2008 hit feature Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. The movie will be written and directed by Ol Parker (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Imagine Me and You) and will feature ABBA songs not featured in the first film, as well as some reprised favorites.
