Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for Simon Curtis’ biographical drama Goodbye Christopher Robin starring Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Will Tilston, Kelly Macdonald, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Alex Lawther. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, Twilight, In Bruges). The soundtrack will be released on October 13, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon The movie, which focuses on the relationship between Winnie the Poohcreator A.A. Premiering on Friday, August 25, is the Amazon original series The Tick created by Ben Edlund based on his own comic book series and starring Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez and Brendan Hine. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original series Disjointed created by Chuck Lorre & David Javerbaum and starring Kathy Bates, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho, Elizabeth Alderfer, Aaron Moten and Tone Bell. Walt Disney Records to Release Soundtrack Album for Pixar’s ‘Coco’

Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Pixar animated feature Coco. Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Lost, Jurassic World, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) who previously scored Pixar’s Up, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Ratatouille & Cars 2 is composing the film’s original score. Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez are contributing the original song Remember Me and Germaine Franco & the film’s co-director Adrian Molina have also written additional songs for the film. Notefornote Music will release a score album for Justin Chon’s indie drama Gook. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roger Suen. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 25, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Gook is written and directed by Chon who also stars in the movie alongside Simone Baker, David So, Curtiss Cook Jr., Sang Chon, Omono Okojie, Ben Munoz, Cesar Garcia, Isaiah Jarel and Kirlew Vilbon. The movie follows two Korean American brothers who strike up a friendship with an 11-year-old African American girl while racial tensions build to a breaking point as the 1992 Los Angeles riots break out. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the action comedy directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung and Joaquim De Almeida. The film’s original score is composed by Atli Orvarsson (Vantage Point, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as the songs from the movie by Lionel Ritchie, Foreigner, King Harvest, Chuck Berry, Samuel L. Jackson & more. Brian Tyler to Score Jon M. Chu’s ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

Brian Tyler has been hired to score the upcoming romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Step Up 2: The Streets) and stars Constance Wu, Michelle Yeoh, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Sonoya Mizuno, Chris Pang, Harry Shum Jr. and Awkwafina. The movie is based on Kevin Kwan’s novel of the same title and follows a Chinese-American economics professor and her boyfriend, who happens to be the heir to a massive fortune. Peter Chiarelli (The Proposal) and Adele Lim (Lethal Weapon) wrote the screenplay. Universal Music has announced two soundtrack albums for the docu-series The Vietnam War. The first album features popular songs featured in the show that define the era, including tracks from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Otis Redding, Santana, Ray Charles, Nina Simone & more.
