‘Wonderstruck’ Special Edition Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records has announced a special edition soundtrack for Todd Haynes’ drama Wonderstruck. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Being John Malkovich, Twilight, In Bruges, True Grit), including three additional bonus tracks not included on the regular release. The soundtrack will be released digitally exclusively on Amazon on October 20 and is now available for pre-order here. In related news, it was announced today that Burwell will be conducting his score from the movie with the Hollywood Cinematic Orchestra at a live-to-picture screening event next Wednesday, October 18 at Ace Hotel (click here to order tickets). Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1988 comedy A Fish Called Wanda directed by Charles Crichton and starring John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline and Michael Palin. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the MGM production composed by John Du Prez (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Meaning of Life), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included are alternates, unused cues and demos, as well as two unused versions of Wanda’s love song, one performed by Rick Driscoll and the other written and performed by John Cleese.
