Interscope Records has released the original song Skipping Stones from the documentary Believer. The track is written by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight) who also composed the original score for the film. Siddhartha Khosla has been hired to score the upcoming ABC comedy The Kids Are Alright. The show is created by Tim Doyle (Last Man Standing) and stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Martin Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken and Santino Barnard. The series inspired by Doyle’s childhood is set in the 1970s and follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family as they navigate big and small changes during one of America’s most turbulent decades. Milan Records has released the full soundtrack album for the National Geographic original series Genius. The album features selections of the show’s original music of the show’s second season composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Lego Batman Movie, The Crown, Pacific Rim Uprising, Terminator Genysis). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an EP featuring music from Season 2, as well as Balfe’s score from the first season. H. Scott Salinas is reteaming with director Matthew Heineman on the upcoming biographical drama A Private War. The film starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci and Tom Hollander chronicles the life of the late American-born British war reporter Marie Colvin. Arash Amel (Grace of Monaco, The Titan) wrote the screenplay based on Marie Brenner’s 2012 Vanity Fair story Marie Colvin’s Private War. Heineman is also producing the project with Matthew George (Wind River) for Acacia Entertainment, alongside Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Sicario) for Thunder Road Pictures, Marissa McMahon for Kamala Films and Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde) for Denver & Delilah.
