Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series Sharp Objects developed by Marti Noxon based on the novel of the same title by Gillian Flynn, directed by Jean-Marc Valle and starring Amy Adams, Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Elizabeth Perkins, and Matt Craven. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Susan Jacobs who previously collaborated with Vallee on HBO’s Big Little Lies serves as the project’s music supervisor. The series follows a reporter who confronts the psychological demons from her past when she returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder. Premiering on Friday, July 13, is the Netflix original movie How It Ends directed by David M. Rosenthal and starring Theo James, Forest Whitaker and Kat Graham. The film’s original music is composed by Atli Orvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Vantage Point, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Chicago Fire, Babylon A.D.).
