Capitol Records has released the original song Finally Free from the upcoming animated feature Smallfoot. The track is performed by Niall Horan who also co-wrote the song with Alexander Izquierdo, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta and Tobias Jesso Jr. Finally Free is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Smallfoot is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick (Over the Hedge) and features the voices of Channing Tatum, James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry and Jimmy Tatro. The full details of the first score album for Marvel’s Freeform original series Cloak & Dagger have been revealed. The album features selections from the original score of the show’s first season composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, Blade, Miracle, 42). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 6 by Marvel Music and Hollywood Records and will be available to download on Amazon. A separate soundtrack featuring songs from the series has previously been released last month. Season 1 of Cloak & Dagger created by Joe Pokaski based on the Marvel Comic characters by Bill Mantlo & Ed Hannigan and starring Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, James Saito and J.D. The line-up of the 6th Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel has been announced. The event offers a behind-the-scenes look at the music of today’s biggest superhero film and TV projects with unreleased film clips and never-before-heard music. Participating composers include Marco Beltrami whose superhero movie scoring credits include Logan, The Wolverine, Fantastic Four and Hellboy, Christophe Beck who recently scored Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp and previously scored the original Ant-Man movie, as well as Elektra and Tyler Bates who recently scored Deadpool 2 and has also composed the music for the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, as well as the Watchmen film adaptation. Jeff Russo to Score Noah Hawley’s ‘Pale Blue Dot’

Jeff Russo is set to reteam with writer/director/producer Noah Hawley on the upcoming sci-fi drama Pale Blue Dot. The film marks Hawley’s feature directorial debut and will star Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Zazie Beetz, Dan Stevens and Ellen Burstyn. The movie follows a female astronaut who, after coming back home from a mission in space, starts to unravel when confronted by her seemingly-perfect life. Brian C. Brown (Edge of Tomorrow, Get on Up) and Elliott DiGuiseppi have written the screenplay. Reese Witherspoon & Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, Wild) are producing the Fox Searchlight production.
