The film is written and directed by Ho Wi Ding and stars Jack Kao, Li Hong-Chi, Louise Grinber, Ding Ning, Stone, Huang Lu, Liu Rui-Chi, Hsin Yin, Liu Juei-Chi and Shin Yin. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the supernatural horror thriller The Nun directed by Corin Hardy and starring Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu and Bonnie Aarons. The film’s original music is composed by Abel Korzeniowski (A Single Man, Penny Dreadful, W.E., Nocturnal Animals, Romeo & Juliet). Also opening wide is the action thriller Peppermint directed by Pierre Morel and starring Jennifer Garner, John Ortiz, John Gallagher Jr. and Juan Pablo Raba. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as two songs by Geno Lenardo and Ash Costello. Publicist Beth Krakower who specialized in promoting film/TV composers and soundtrack albums/cast recordings has passed away yesterday, September 5, at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica after a nearly two year battle with breast cancer. She was 46. Among her clients were composers Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic), Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane), Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Wedding Crashers), Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Pollock), Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, Rush Hour), Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash) and Michael Abels (Get Out).
