‘Apostasy’ Soundtrack Released

A soundtrack album has been released for the British drama Apostasy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew Willcock (The Beyond, Narcopolis). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Apostasy is written and directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and stars Siobhan Finneran, Robert Emms, Sacha Parkinson, Steve Evets and Jessica Baglow. Mason Daring Scoring ‘Moynihan’ Documentary

Mason Daring (Where the Heart Is, A Walk on the Moon, The Opposite of Sex, Lone Star, Music of the Heart) has recently composed the music for the upcoming documentary Moynihan. The film is directed by Joseph Dorman (Colliding Dreams, Arguing the World) & Toby Perl Freilich and centers on Daniel Patrick Moynihan (1927-2013), the seminal public intellectual and sociologist, policy specialist, ambassador and long serving New York senator. Jeffrey Wright is narrating the movie, which features interviews with Ta-Nehisi Coates, Eleanor Holmes Norton, George Will, Henry Kissinger, among others. Read the rest of this entry »

On September 20, Vince DiCola will be performing his music at a one-night-only concert at the Whiskey a Go Go nightclub in West Hollywood, CA. The composer will perform compositions from his scores to 1985’s Rocky IV, 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie and the video game Angry Birds Transformers, among other titles. An Evening with Vince DiCola will also feature the debut performance of the new progressive rock band Saga Star, consisting of the composer himself, Rick Livingstone, Bobby Gianetti and Victor St. John. L’R du Trésor will release a soundtrack album for the French comedy Sink or Swim (Le grand bain). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Brion (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Magnolia, Lady Bird, Paranormal, Trainwreck, The Other Guys). Also included are the songs from the movie by artists including Tears for Fears, The Notorious B.I.G., Isaac Hayes, Tame Impala, The Wash, Phil Collins & Phil Bailey & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 19, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Natalie Holt has been hired to score the second season of the History original series Knightfall. The show is created by Don Handfield & Richard Rayner and stars Tom Cullen,Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Ovenden and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina. They are joined in Season 2 by new cast members Mark Hamill, Tom Forbes and Genevieve GauntThe show follows the famed Knights Templar in their search for the Holy Grail. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Good Doctor, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, Atypical) and Mike Tuccillo. Eli Brueggemann has won his first Emmy Award for the original song Come Back Barack from the Chance The Rapper-hosted episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live in the Music & Lyrics category at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. He was previously nominated three more times for other songs from the NBC show over the last six years. In the Outstanding Music Direction category, Gregg Field was honored for his work on the PBS special Tony Bennett: The Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song. Carlos Rafael Rivera won his first Emmy Award for his main titles theme music from the Netflix limited series Godless at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Ramin Djawadi was honored with his first Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the episode The Dragon and the Wolf from HBO’s Game of Thrones in the Music Composition for a Series category.
