Hasbro, in collaboration with record label Reigning Phoenix Music, will release a new soundtrack album for the 1986 animated feature The Transformers: The Movie directed by Nelson Shin based on the original Transformers television series and starring Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Robert Stack, Orson Welles, Lionel Stander, John Moschitta, Jr., Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. The Reformated Edition features ten re-recorded, reimagined tracks from the Vince DiCola-scored film, including new recordings of The Touch & Dare by Stan Bush, Nothin’s Gonna Stand in Our Way by Sebastian Bach, a new version of The Transformers (Theme) by metal artist Brittney Slayes (Unleash The Archers) and other re-recordings from Mark Osegueda (Kerry King, Death Angel), Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose, V.B.O.) and Cold Slither’s Torch. Vince DiCola to Perform ‘Rocky IV’ & ‘The Transformers: The Movie’ Scores at Hollywood Concert
On September 20, Vince DiCola will be performing his music at a one-night-only concert at the Whiskey a Go Go nightclub in West Hollywood, CA. The composer will perform compositions from his scores to 1985’s Rocky IV, 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie and the video game Angry Birds Transformers, among other titles. An Evening with Vince DiCola will also feature the debut performance of the new progressive rock band Saga Star, consisting of the composer himself, Rick Livingstone, Bobby Gianetti and Victor St. John.
New ‘The Transformers: The Movie’ Soundtrack Released
Intrada Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 1986 animated feature The Transformers: The Movie directed by Nelson Shin based on the original Transformers television series and featuring the voices of Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Orson Welles, Robert Stack, Lionel Stander, John Moschitta, Jr., Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. The album features the film’s original score composed by Vince DiCola (Rocky VI, Crooked). Also included is the 6-minute demo cue Legacy. The soundtrack marks the first widely available release of the score, which was first available as two very limited “BotCon” editions.
