Atlantic Records will release a new soundtrack album for the hit movie musical The Greatest Showman. The Deluxe Sing-A-Long Edition features all the original songs from the movie written by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul as featured on the original soundtrack album on the first disc, as well as a bonus disc featuring sing-a-long tracks and an exclusive 32-page lyrics booklet. The soundtrack is set to be released on October 19, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for Thomas Lilti’s French drama The Freshmen (Première année). The album features the film’s original music composed by LoW Entertainment (aka Alexandre Lier, Sylvain Ohrel & Nicolas Weil) (Party Girl). Also included are the composers’ scores for Litli’s 2014 feature Hippocrates: Diary of a French Doctor (Hippocrate) and the director’s 2016 movie The Country Doctor (Médecin de campagne). The album features the film’s original music composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden FiguresA Cure for Wellness, Annabelle: Creation, Lights Out). A vinyl version is currently set to come out on November 9, 2018 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Kurt Farquhar has announced that he will be composing the score for the upcoming BET original series American Soul. The show is created by Devon Greggory & Jonathan Prince and stars Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Iantha Richardson, Christopher Jefferson, Katlyn Nichol and Jelani Winston. Clint Mansell is set to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Warning. The film marks the feature directorial debut of music video director Agata Alexander and will star James D’Arcy, Laura Harrier, Charlotte Le Bon, Mena Massoud, Alex Pettyfer, Lana Condor and Benedict Samuel. The movie explores loneliness, death and the meaning of life when vastly disparate lives collide in interweaving stories set in a near future Earth. BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) announced today that Harry Gregson-Williams will be named a BMI Icon at this year’s BMI London Awards in recognition of his unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers. The event will be held at the Dorchester Hotel on October 1, 2018 and will be hosted by BMI President and CEO Mike O’Neill. Gregson-Williams previously received the Richard Kirk Award at the 2006 BMI Film & Television Awards for his outstanding career achievements in film music including for films such as Shrek, Man on Fire, Kingdom of Heaven, Spy Game, Chicken Run, as well as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (for which he also received his first Golden Globe nomination).
