Sony Music Finland has released a soundtrack album for the Finnish comedy Heavy Trip (Hevi reissu). The album features the film’s original score composed by Lauri Porra (V2: Dead Angel). Also included are the songs from the movie by Diablo, Mika Lammassaari and Mokoma. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Heavy Trip is directed by Jukka Vidgren & Juuso Laatio and stars Johannes Holopainen, Minka Kuustonen, Ville Tiihonen, Max Ovaska, Samuli Jaskio, Antti Heikkinen and Chike Ohanwe. The movie follows a musician from a small village in Northern Finland who takes his undiscovered heavy metal band on an eventful road trip to play at Norway’s biggest heavy metal music festival. The details of the soundtrack album for drama Boy Erased have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (The Gift, Ozark, Enemy, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Fear the Walking Dead). Also included is the original song Revelation performed by Troye Sivan & Jónsi (who also co-wrote the track with Leland) and another song by Jónsi. Revelation will already be available to download here as a digital single tomorrow. The full soundtrack will be released digitally on October 26, 2018 by Back Lot Music (click here to download) and physically the following week. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Johann Johannsson Named Film Composer of the Year at 2018 World Soundtrack Awards

Johann Johannsson was named Film Composer of the Year at the 18th World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 45th Ghent Film Festival. Among the late composer’s final scores released over the last year were Mandy, Mary Magdalene (co-scored with Hildur Guðnadóttir who accepted the award on his behalf) and The Mercy. He previously received the award last year in the same category. Tamar-kali received her first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category for her score from Dee Rees’ drama Mudbound. Ramin Djawadi was honored as TV Composer of the year for his work on HBO’s Game of Thrones & Westworld and FX’s The Strain. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Malicious. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Silicon Valley, CSI: Miami, Just Friends, Speechless, Step Up All In). The soundtrack is already available digitally overseas and is expected to be released this Friday in the U.S. (visit Amazon to download the album). Walt Disney Records has announced the full details of the soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The album features the film’s music composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) based on themes from Tchaikovsky’s classic 1892 ballet score. The music was recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Pianist Lang Lang is featured as a soloist. Also included is the original song Fall On Me written by Ian Axel, Chad Vaccarino, Matteo Bocelli & Fortunato Zampaglione and performed by Andrea Bocelli feat. Matteo Bocelli. Andrew Kawczynski is composing the music for the upcoming British thriller The Corrupted. The film is directed by Ron Scalpello (Pressure, My Name Is Lenny) and stars Sam Claflin, Timothy Spall, Hugh Bonneville and Noel Clarke. The movie follows an ex-con determined to rebuild his life after losing everything at the hands of a local crime syndicate. Nick Moorcroft (Finding Your Feet, Urban Hymn) wrote the screenplay. Andrew Berg & John Sachs (Finding Your Feet) are producing the project for Eclipse Films, alongside Nik Bower (Final Portrait) for Riverstone Pictures and Laure Vaysse (Tell It to the Bees) for REP Crime.
