Alexandre Desplat has written the main titles music, as well as the main character’s theme for DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming Netflix original series Trollhunters. The show’s score is composed by Tim Davies. Both composers received an Annie Award nomination for their work yesterday. The series is created by Guillermo del Toro and features the voices of Anton Yelchin, Kelsey Grammer, Ron Perlman, Charlie Saxton, Steven Yeun, Jonathan Hyde, Lexi Medrano, Amy Landecker and Fred Tatasciore. The show follows a 15-year old teenager who stumbles upon a Magical Amulet that gives him the title of Trollhunter, defender of the trolls that live below the human town of Arcadia. ‘Return to the Blue Lagoon’ Soundtrack Announced

Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1991 romantic adventure drama Return to the Blue Lagoon directed by William A. Graham and starring Brian Krause & Milla Jovovich. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Basil Poledouris (RoboCop, Starship Troopers, Conan the Barbarian, The Hunt for Red October, For the Love of the Game). Also included is the end titles song A World of Our Own performed by SURFACE, as well as alternate, additional and source cues. Imagine Dragon’s ‘Levitate’ from ‘Passengers’ to Be Released

Sony Pictures announced today that Imagine Dragons have contributed an original song for the sci-fi drama Passengers. The track, entitled Levitate, will be released as a digital single, this Friday, December 2 by Interscope Records. Bruce Broughton’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’ Score to Be Released

Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for Paramount Pictures’ 1991 family comedy All I Want for Christmas directed by Robert Lieberman and starring Harley Jane Kozak, Jamey Sheridan, Ethan Randall, Thora Birch, Kevin Nealon, Lauren Bacall, Leslie Nielsen . The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Rescuers Down Under, Young Sherlock Holmes, Miracle on 34th Street, Lost in Space). Only six cues of the composer’s score have previously been released on the original 1991 soundtrack album. Back Lot Music will release a score album for Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature Sing. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joby Talbot (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Penelope, Closed Circuit, Son of Rambow). The soundtrack will be released on December 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Steve Moore has recently composed the music for the upcoming indie action thriller Mayhem. The film is directed by Joe Lynch (Everly, Knights of Badassdom) and stars Steven Yeun, Samara Weaving, Steven Brand, Caroline Chikezie and Kerry Fox. The movie tells the story of a virus that infects a corporate law office on the day one of their attorneys is framed by a co-worker and wrongfully fired. Matias Caruso wrote the screenplay. Premiering tonight is the Hallmark original movie I’ll Be Home for Christmas directed by James Brolin who also stars in the film with Mena Suvari and Giselle Eisenberg. The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, My Dog Skip, Ladder 49, Tuck Everlasting). The family drama follows an assistant District Attorney and single mom who has to deal with her estranged dad when he unexpectedly shows up at her door. Robert Lydecker Co-Scoring ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’

Following last month’s news of Brian Tyler recording his score for the action sequel xXx: Return of Xander Cage, it has been revealed that Robert Lydecker has co-scored the movie with the composer. Tyler and Lydecker are also working together on the music for the Fox series Sleepy Hollow, which will return for a third season in 2017. Tyler is reportedly also collaborating with Kill the Noise and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello on an original song for xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The movie directed by D.J. Caruso and starring Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Toni Collette, Donnie Yen, Kris Wu, Michael Bisping, Tony Jaa and Samuel L.
