Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for Disney’s 1990 animated feature DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp directed by Bob Hathcot and featuring the voices of Alan Young, Terrence McGovern, Russi Taylor, Richard Libertini, Christopher Lloyd, June Foray, Chuck McCann, Joan Gerber and Rip Taylor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee David Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, The Flintstones, Serenity, The Nutty Professor, War of the Roses). John Paesano to Score Marvel’s Netflix Series ‘The Defenders’

John Paesano has been tapped to score Marvel’s upcoming Netflix original series The Defenders. The show is developed by Douglas Petrie & Marco Ramirez (Daredevil) and stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, all of which are reprising their roles from their own shows. Élodie Yung is also starring as Elektra Natchios. The 8-parter based on the Marvel Comics characters takes place a few months after the events of the second season of Daredevil and follows the superheroes as they team-up in New York City. Evan Lurie Scoring Stanley Tucci’s ‘Final Portrait’

Evan Lurie is reteaming with actor/director Stanley Tucci on the upcoming drama Final Portrait. The film is written and directed by Tucci and stars Geoffrey Rush, Armie Hammer, Clémence Poésy, Tony Shalhoub, James Faulkner and Sylvie Testud. The movie is based on James Lord’s book A Giacometti Portrait and centers on Swiss painter-sculptor Alberto Giacometti who died in 1966 and is best remembered for his stark and surrealistic sculptures. ‘The Game of Thrones Symphony’ Album Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced The Game of Thrones Symphony album, which features new recordings of the show’s original music from the HBO hit series composed by Ramin Djawadi (Westworld, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Warcraft, Clash of the Titans). The symphony was recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Check out a video from the recording of one of tracks after the jump. The album will be released digitally on February 24, 2017. A physical version is also in the works. The pre-order links will be added to this page soon. Stephen Warbeck has recently recorded his score for the upcoming British drama Hampstead. The film is directed by Joel Hopkins (Last Chance Harvey, Jump Tomorrow) and stars Diane Keaton, Brendan Gleeson and James Norton. The movie centers on an American widow who finds unexpected love with a man living wild on Hampstead Heath when they take on the developers who want to destroy his home. Robert Festinger (In the Bedroom, Trust) wrote the screenplay. Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae (Nowhere Boy, Becoming Jane, Black Death, The Water Horse) are producing the project for Ecosse Films. ‘Justice League Dark’ Soundtrack to Be Released

WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the DC Universe Original Movie Justice League Dark. The album features the film’s original music composed by Robert J. Kral (Angel, The Haunting in Connecticut, Superman/Doomsday, Green Lantern: First Flight). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 7, 2017 and can now be pre-ordered on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. A limited edition CD version is set to be released the following week by La-La Land Records. Hippocampus will release a soundtrack album for the French fantasy drama Seuls. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (Maniac, Horns, Planetarium, Every Secret Thing). The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Monday, February 6, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Seuls is directed by David Moreau (The Eye, Them, It Boy) and stars Sofia Lesaffre, Stéphane Bak, Jean-Stan du Pac, Paul Scarfoglio and Kim Lockhart. Three new movies are opening nationwide:
Opening in most theaters is the directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and starring Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. The film’s original music is composed by Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Eddie the Eagle). Hans Zimmer who scored the original The Ring movie serves as the project’s executive music producer. According to the film’s credits, a soundtrack album will be released by Paramount Music, but no announcement has been made. Also opening wide is the sci-fi romance The Space Between Us directed by Peter Chelsom and starring Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Britt Robertson, Carla Gugino, BD Wong, Janet Montgomery and Scott Takeda. Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) has composed the film’s score. Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the film by Ingrid Michaelson, Crystal Fighters, BØRNS, BANNERS and James Bay.
