Netflix Music has released a soundtrack EP for the South African Netflix original film A Soweto Love Story. The 6-track EP features three tracks performed by the Afrikariz Choir, as well as three songs from the movie performed by Didintle Khunou. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to all six tracks below. A Soweto Love Story is directed by Rolie Nikiwe and stars Lunga Shabalala, Duduzile Ngcobo, Zenzelisphesihle Sparky Xulu, Ray Neo Buso, Motsoaledi Setumo and Mamodibe Ramodibe . The comedy follows a mother who is desperate for her three single sons to get married and promises her house to the first one to tie the knot, setting off a race to the altar. Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the biographical drama Bob Marley: One Love co-written and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch, Tosin Cole, James Norton, Anthony Welsh, Umi Myers, Aston Barrett Jr, Nia Ashi and Anna-Sharé Blake. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Green Book, Haunted Mansion, King Richard, Secret Invasion, The Color Purple). Tuff Gong & Island Records  have released a soundtrack album featuring the Bob Marley (& The Wailers) songs from the movie last Friday (click here for the full album details) and a separate EP featuring covers of Marley songs inspired by the movie on Wednesday (click here for more information).

Also already playing wide since Wednesday is the superhero movie Madame Web co-written and directed by S.J. Clarkson and starring Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced,Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Adam Scott and Emma Roberts. Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Kon-TikiAnatomy of a Scandal, Battlefield V, In a Better World, After the Wedding, Things We Lost in the Fire) has composed the film’s original music. The film is written and directed by Kiah Roache-Turner (Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, Nektrotonic) and stars Ryan Corr, Alyla Browne, Penelope Mitchell, Noni Hazelhurst, Robyn Nevin, Danny Kim, Silvia Colloca and Jermaine Fowler. The movie follows a 12-year-old girl who raises an unnervingly talented spider in secret and must fight for her family’s survival when the creature rapidly transforms into a giant, flesh-eating monster. Craft Recordings & Varèse Sarabande have announced Reel Cult, a new soundtrack reissue series for B-movie soundtrack aficionados. Among the first two titles is a new (and first in over 50 years) vinyl edition for the 1977 thriller Orca directed by Michael Anderson and starring Richard Harris, Charlotte Rampling, Will Sampson, Bo Derek & Robert Carradine featuring music composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Hateful Eight, The Untouchables). The album, which is pressed on Blood In The Water-colored vinyl, presented in a tip-on jacket and includes a fold-out poster, will be released on Record Store Day 2024 and will be available at participating independent music retailers on April 20.
