Varese Sarabande has announced the full details of the soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller Hotel Mumbai. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Patrick Melrose, Adrift, Gunpowder). THR is reporting that songwriters Kate Anderson & Elyssa Samsel are teaming up with Josh Gad on a movie musical based on the American folk tale of Rip Van Winkle. Cynthia Erivo is attached to star in the film, which is based on the short story written by Washington Irving (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow) about a villager who falls asleep only to wake up decades later and missing the American Revolution. Walt Disney Pictures has announced that Arcade Fire has recorded a new version of the Academy Award-nominated song Baby Mine for Disney’s upcoming Dumbo live-action movie. The song was originally written by Frank Churchill and Ned Washington (lyrics) for the 1941 animated classic. The new version will be featured during the movie’s end credits and will be included on the official soundtrack album, which also features the film’s original score by Danny Elfman, which is set to be released digitally on March 29 and physically on April 5 by Walt Disney Records.
