Madison Gate Records will release a new soundtrack album for the YouTube Premium series Cobra Kai. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Leo Birenberg (Son of Zorn, Red Army, Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) & Zach Robinson (F*&% the Prom). Also included is Kari Kimmel’s cover of Bananarama’s Cruel Summer as featured in the Season 2 teaser trailer. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 24 and will be available to download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score for the first season (with La-La Land Records handling the CD version). A soundtrack EP has been released for the indie drama Firecrackers. The EP features the film’s original music composed by Casey MQ (aka Casey Manierka-Quaile). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Firecrackers is written and directed by Jasmin Mozaffari and stars Michaela Kurimsky and Karena Evans. The movie follows two teenage girl as they plan to get out of their isolated, run-down town and move to a city, when they run into problems. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 family adventure Iron Will directed by Charles Haid and starring Mackenzie Astin, Kevin Spacey, David Ogden Stiers, George Gerdes, Brian Cox, Penelope Windust and August Schellenberg. The album features the expanded original score from the Walt Disney Pictures production composed and conducted by Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West, The Orville, Holes, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles), including almost 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. Tim Jones (Chuck, Human Target, Beast of Burden, Office Uprising) has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Hide and Seek. The film is written and directed by Joel David Moore (Youth in Oregon, Spiral) and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jacinda Barrett, Joe Pantoliano and Mustafa Shakir. The movie is based on Huh Jung’s 2013 Korean feature of the same title and follows a man searching for his long-lost brother who stumbles upon a secret world of squatters terrorizing the homes of unsuspecting tenants. 4AD has released a soundtrack album for Boots Riley’s comedy Sorry to Bother You. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tune-Yards. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Interscope Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by The Coup last summer. Sorry to Bother You is written and directed by Riley and stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews, Steven Yeun, Jermaine Fowler and Danny Glover. The Oakland-set movie follows a telemarketer who discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexander Bornstein (Paradox, The Last Heist, Black Site Delta). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 7, 2019. The label has previously released Barrett’s theme song from the series. The Durrells is created by Simon Nye and stars Keeley Hawes, Josh O’Connor, Callum Woodhouse, Daisy Waterstone and Milo Parker. This past week, Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, The Midwife) has recorded his music for the upcoming French thriller Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une lumière). The film is written and directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Khan, Jimmy P.) and stars Roschdy Zem, Antoine Reinartz, Léa Seydoux and Sara Forestier. Milan Records has released the second soundtrack album for the National Geographic docu-series Hostile Planet. The album features more music from the show composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (ItShazam!Blade Runner 2049Hidden FiguresHellboy). The Vol. 2 album, entitled Jungles and Grasslands, is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.
