Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary Knock Down the House. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ryan Blotnick and Tyler Wood. Knock Down the House is directed by Rachel Lears and follows four women political candidates from around the country – a young bartender in the Bronx, a coal miner’s daughter in West Virginia, a grieving mother in Nevada and a registered nurse in Missouri – during the 2018 mid-term elections as they took to the campaign trail, built and engaged their bases, and built a movement. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Icelandic TV series Trapped. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Hildur Guðnadóttir (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Joker, Mary Magdalene), Rutger Hoedemaekers and Johann Johannsson (Arrival, The Theory of Everything, Sicario). The soundtrack is now available to download overseas and will be released in U.S. stores on May 24 (click here to download the album) Trapped is created by Baltasar Kormakur (Everest, 101 Reykjavík) and stars Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Bjarne Henriksen, Ingvar E Sigurðsson, Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir, Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson. Marvel Music and Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for Marvel’s Freeform’s original series Cloak & Dagger. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, Miracle, The Accountant). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and will be available to download here. The labels have previously released a score album featuring the composer’s score from the first season, as well as a separate soundtrack featuring songs from the drama. Walt Disney Records will release the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite composed by John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T., Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The composer wrote the suite for the new themed land at Disney’s theme parks in Anaheim, California (opening to the public on May 31) and Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida (opening on August 29) and recorded it last year with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, conducted by William Ross. Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack album for the HBO mini-series Chernobyl. The show’s original music is composed by Hildur Gudnadottir (Joker, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene, Strong Island). The show starring Katja Herbers, Mike Colter and Michael Emerson centers on a skeptical female forensic psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.
