Milan Music has released a soundtrack album for the political thriller The Nile Hilton Incident. The album features the film’s original music composed by Krister Linder (MetropiaDownloading Nancy). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Nile Hilton Incident is written and directed by Tarik Saleh and stars Fares Fares, Mari Malek, Yaser Aly Maher, Slimane Daze, Ahmed Seleem, Mohamed Yousry and Hania Amar. The movie takes place weeks before the 2011 Egyptian revolution and follows a Cairo police office who investigates the murder of a famous club singer at the Nile Hilton Hotel. Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein won their first Emmy Award for their main titles theme music from the Netflix original series Stranger Things at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Jeff Russo received his first Emmy Award for his score from the third season of the FX original series Fargo in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category. He was previously nominated twice for his work on the show’s first two seasons. Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy drama The Orville created by Seth MacFarlane and starring himself, alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. Bruce Broughton (Silverado) has composed the show’s theme and score for the first episode and John Debney (The Passion of the Christ) and Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West) are scoring the following episodes. Also premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Deuce created by David Simon & George Pelecanos and starring James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Carr, Margarita Levieva, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Dominique Fishback, Emily Meade, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Chris Bauer, Chris Coy, Natalie Paul and Michael Rispoli. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Blake Leyh serves as the project’s music supervisor. The Deuce tells the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 70s through the mid 80s. CommonRobert Glasper and Karriem Riggins have received the Emmy Award for the original song Letter to the Free from Ava DuVernay’s Netflix documentary 13th in the Music & Lyrics category at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Common & Glasper accepted their first Emmy Award in person at the ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. The song was previously nominated for the Critics Choice Awards earlier this year. In the Outstanding Music Direction category, Rickey Minor was honored for his work on the ABC special Taking The Stage: African American Music and Stories That Changed America. ‘Show Us Your Musical Genius’ Winners Announced

Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe have announced the winners in the Show Us Your Musical Genius competition. The challenge, presented by NatGeo, Fox 21, Milan Records and hosted by indi.com, had contestants submit their rendition of Zimmer and Balfe’s Emmy-nominated main title theme for the NatGeo TV series Genius. Zimmer & Balfe’s prize winner is entitled Pipe Dream created by Henrik Lindström and Normann Bjorvand from Sweden (click here to check out the video). The Buzz winner is What is Time by Nick Nußbickel from Germany (watch the video here). Reel Gold Records will release the original song Just Getting Started from the HBO documentary If You’re Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast. The track is written by Academy Award winners Alan & Marilyn Bergman (Yentl, The Way We Were) and Dave Grusin (The Milagro Beanfield War, The Firm, On Golden Pond) and performed by Alan Bergman with Grusin & Band. The song will be released as a digital single on September 26, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label will also release the song Young at Heart performed by Dick Van Dyke from the film on the same day (click here to pre-order). If You’re Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast is produced and directed by Danny Gold and follows Carl Reiner as he tracks down several nonagenarians, including Mel Brooks, Dick Van Dyke, Norman Lear and Betty White who show that the later years can be the happiest and most rewarding. Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is the horror thriller It directed by Andrés Muschietti and starring Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton and Bill Skarsgård. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (Annabelle: CreationHidden FiguresBlade Runner 2049A Cure for Wellness). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Home Again written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer and starring Reese Witherspoon, Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff, Jon Rudnitsky, Michael Sheen, Candice Bergen and Lake Bell. Abel Korzeniowski has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller The Nun. The film is directed by Corin Hardy (The Hallow) and stars Taissa Farmiga, Demián Bichir, Charlotte Hope, Bonnie Aarons, Jonas Bloquet and Ingrid Bisu. The movie is a spinoff of New Line Cinema’s hit franchise The Conjuring and follows a priest who is sent to Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun. Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle) wrote the screenplay. James Wan (Furious 7, Insidious, Saw) and Peter Safran (The Conjuring, Buried) are producing the New Line production. The full details of the soundtrack album for the biographical drama Goodbye Christopher Robin have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (CarolFargoTwilight, Being John MalkovichIn Bruges). The soundtrack will be released on October 13, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Goodbye Christopher Robin is directed by Simon Curtis and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Will Tilston, Kelly Macdonald, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Alex Lawther. The movie centers on the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie-the-Pooh. Daniel Pemberton has recently composed the music for the upcoming Black Mirror episode USS Callister. The episode is directed by Toby Haynes (Doctor Who, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell) and stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Michaela Coel and Billy Magnussen. The show’s creator Charlie Brooker wrote the script with William Bridges (SuperBob). No plot details have been announced yet.
