Ramin Djawadi has been hired to score the upcoming fantasy drama A Wrinkle in Time. The film is directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma, 13th) and stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Guru Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa, Levi Miller, Deric McCabe, André Holland, Rowan Blanchard, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Pine and Storm Reid. The movie based on the novel by Madeleine L’Engle follows a group of children as they travel through time and visit strange worlds in order to find their missing father, a scientist. Brian Byrne is composing the original music for the upcoming Irish drama Black 47. The film is directed by Lance Daly (Kisses) and stars Hugo Weaving, Jim Broadbent, Stephen Rea, James Frecheville, Freddie Fox, Moe Dunford and Barry Keoghan. The movie is set in Ireland during the Great Famine and follows an Irish Ranger who has been fighting for the British Army abroad, as he abandons his post to reunite with his family. ‘Rat Film’ Soundtrack Details

Domino Recording Company will release the official soundtrack album for the documentary Rat Film. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Deacon (Twixt). The soundtrack will be released on October 13, 2017. The CD and vinyl version is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out a video featurette about the composer’s score after the jump. Rat Film is directed by Theo Anthony and uses the rat – as well as the humans that love them, live with them, and kill them – to explore the history of Baltimore. The movie starring Michael Ealy, Dennis Quaid, Meagan Good and Joseph Sikora follows a young couple who move into their dream house in the county, unaware the previous owner who has his eyes on the house and the young woman. David Loughery (Lakeview Terrace, Passenger 57) wrote the screenplay. Taylor is also producing he project with, Roxanne Avent & Robert F. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the action sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Sir Elton John, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Kong: Skull Island) & Matthew Margeson (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Eddie the Eagle).
