Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Peppermint, Pandora: The World of Avatar) has recently composed the original score for the upcoming Chinese fantasy romance Turandot. The film is directed by Xiaolong Zheng (Empresses in the Palace) and stars Guan Xiaotong and Dylan Sprouse. The movie is based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera of the same title and follows a princess who is cursed by a mysterious power emanating from three Mazovian bracelets that were given to her as birthday gifts and an ordinary citizen who risks his life to save her. ‘Harlots’ Season 3 Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Harlots. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third season composed by Rael Jones (My Cousin Rachel, Suite Francaise, Kids in Love). The soundtrack is now available to download overseas and will be coming out in the U.S. later this month (click here to download). The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music from Season 2, while Silva Screen Records has released an album featuring Jones’ score from the first season. The film is directed by Andy Goddard (A Kind of Murder, Set Fire to the Stars) and stars Judi Dench, Eddie Izzard, Jim Broadbent, Carla Juri, James D’Arcy, Maria Dragus, Tijan Marei and Franziska Brandmeier. The movie is set in 1939 and follows a teacher who is assigned to a finishing school on the south coast of England who becomes alarmed that the students include the daughters of high-ranking Nazis. The show’s original music is composed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher) and Penka Kouneva (Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Midnight Movie). The film is directed by Vadim Perelman (The House of Sand and Fog, The Life Before Her Eyes) and stars Nahuel Perez Biscayart and Lars Eidinger. The movie set in Occupied France in 1942 centers on the relationship between a man who is arrested by the SS alongside other Jews and sent to a concentration camp in Germany and the head of the camp who dreams of opening a restaurant in Iran once the war is over.
