Ram Khatabakhsh (The Hunger Games Exhibition, Transformers Autobots) is currently scoring the upcoming sci-fi film Skylin3s. The third installment in the Skyline franchise is written and directed by Liam O’Donnell and stars Lindsey Morgan, Jonathan Howard, Alexander Siddig, Rhona Mitra, Daniel Bernhardt and James Cosmo. The movie follows Captain Rose Corley who, after a deadly virus threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what’s left of humanity.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (November 12, 2010)
Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Tony Scott’s new thriller Unstoppable starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson features a score by Harry Gregson-Williams. The movie has received the best reviews for any movie by the director in over a decade. The score has been described as a hybrid electronic/orchestral score in the vein of Gregson-Williams’ other scores for the director (Man on Fire, The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3). Tyler to score Skyline
According to the Gorfaine/Schwartz agency, Brian Tyler has joined the horror thriller Skyline. The project reunites Tyler with directors Colin and Greg Strause who previously worked together on AVPR: Aliens vs Predator – Requiem. The movie is starring Donald Faison and Eric Balfour and is being shot right now. Apart from composing duties, Tyler will also serve as an executive producer and sound supervisor on the movie.
Also coming up for Tyler is the Sly Stallone-directed action movie The Expendables, Red Dawn and Battle: Los Angeles. He also has the George Gallo-directed movies Columbus Circle (which he’s also producing), as well as Middle Men coming up. The latter recently premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and was picked up by Paramount Pictures for release later this year.
