City Light Concerts and Film Concerts Live! have announced the world premiere performance of Superman – In Concert, with the film’s Academy Award-nominated original score composed by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) performed live to picture. Anthony Gabriele will conduct the City Light Symphony Orchestra while the 1978 original Superman movie directed by Richard Donner and starring Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, Gene Hackman & Marlon Brando is playing on the big screen. The show is developed by Peter Tolan (Rescue Me, The Job) and stars Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt who reprise their roles in the series, as well as Abby Quinn, Anne Ramsey, John Pankow and Richard Kind. Cynthia Erivo has recorded an original song for the biographical drama Harriet. The song, entitled Stand Up, is co-written by Erivo who also stars in the movie’s title role & Joshuah Brian Campbell and is produced by Will Wells & Gabe Fox-Peck. The track will be featured in the film directed by Kasi Lemmons and also starring Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr. and Joe Alwyn. Terence Blanchard has composed the original score for the drama, which tells the story of abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who escaped slavery and risked her life to lead others to freedom through the network of safehouses known as the Underground Railroad. Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the USA original series Mr. Robot. The album features more music from the show’s third season composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, Pose) who received an Emmy Award for his music from the series in 2016. The Volume 6 soundtrack will be released digitally on September 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released five soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from the first three seasons of the show. Mr. Robot created by Sam Esmail and starring Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallstrom and Carly Chaikin will return for its fourth and final season on October 6 on USA. Nowever Records has released a soundtrack album for the British drama The Last Photograph. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Raeburn (Woodlawn, Nancy, Photograph). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. The Last Photograph is directed by Danny Huston who also stars in the movie, alongside Johan Hauer-King, Stacy Martin, Sarita Choudhury, Vincent Regan, Michelle Ryan and Jaime Winstone. The drama is based on Simon Astaire’s novel of the same title and follows a middle-aged man as he searches for a stolen photograph of his son, which was taken shortly before he was killed in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
