Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Maleficent: Mistress of Evil directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. The film’s original music is composed Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Christopher Robin). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song performed by Bebe Rexha. Click here for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the horror comedy Zombieland: Double Tap directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch and Luke Wilson. David Sardy (21, End of Watch, Bright, Premium Rush) who has composed the music for the 2009 original movie has composed the sequel’s original score.
