Deutsche Grammophon has released a soundtrack album for the German drama Lara. The album features the film’s original score composed by Arash Safaian (with piano solos by Alice Sara Ott) and performed by the German Chamber Orchestra of Berlin, as well as classical pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the comedy seqeul Undercover Brother 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Stanley Clarke (Boyz n the Hood, Passenger 57, The Transporter, Romeo Must Die) who previously scored the 2002 original movie. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. Undercover Brother 2 is directed by Leslie Small and stars Michael Jai White, Gary Owen, Affion Crockett, Laila Odom, Steven Lee Johnson, Bruce Bruce, Barry Bostwick and Vince Swann. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller Countdown written and directed by Justin Dec and starring Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne and Peter Facinelli. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Boy Erased, The Gift, Enemy, American Gods). Also opening wide is the thriller Black and Blue directed by Deon Taylor and starring Naomie Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp and Nafessa Williams. Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, Christopher Robin) has composed the film’s original music.
