Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the supernatural thriller Doctor Sleep directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Jacob Tremblay, Zahn McClarnon, Bruce Greenwood, Carel Struycken and Emily Alyn Lind. The film’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Oculus, Life of Crime). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Click here for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the World War II drama Midway directed by Roland Emmerich and starring Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Nick Jonas, Tadanobu Asano, Luke Kleintank, Darren Criss, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid and Woody Harrelson. First Track from ‘Lost’ Concert Album Released

Hollywood Records has released the first track from the concert album for the ABC drama Lost. Parting Words (written for the first part of the show’s Season 1 finale) composed and conducted by Michael Giacchino (Up, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek) and performed by the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra is now available as a digital single on Amazon. The full We Have to Go Back: The Lost Concert album will be released on November 15 by Mondo on vinyl. A digital release is also expected. ‘The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash’ Soundtrack Released

Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash. The album features the film’s original score composed by Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready (Elvis Presley: The Searcher, Fat Kid Rules the World, Sadie), incorporating interview soundbites with Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio clips. The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash is directed by Thom Zimny and explores the artistic victories, the personal tragedies, the struggles with addiction, and the spiritual pursuits that colored Johnny Cash’s life. Epic Records has released the original song Invisible from the Netflix animated movie Klaus. The track is written by Justin Tranter, Jussi Ilmari Karvinen p/k/a “Jussifer” & Caroline Pennell and performed by Zara Larsson. The song is now available as a digital single on Amazon. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Hemlock Grove). Also included are two songs by Patty Gurdy. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 8 and will be available to stream and download on Amazon Music. Carnival Row is created by Travis Beacham & Rene Echevarria and stars Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Indira Varma and Tamzin Merchant. The series is set in a neo-Victorian city, where mythical creatures who have fled their war-torn homeland are gathered, and follows the investigation into a string of unsolved murders.
