Walt Disney Records has released the fourth soundtrack album for the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian. The album features the original score from Chapter 4 of the show composed by Academy Award winner Ludwig Goransson (Black PantherCreed, Venom, Community, New Girl). La-La Land Records has announced the Disaster Movie Soundtrack Collection featuring three scores composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List). The 4-CD set features the composer’s scores for 1972’s The Poseidon Adventure directed by Ronald Neame, 1974’s The Towering Inferno directed by John Guillermin and 1974’s Earthquake directed by Mark Robson and includes previously unreleased music for the latter two titles. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s 1994 sci-fi adventure Stargate starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. The 25th Anniversary edition features the expanded and remastered score from the movie composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. Sony Classical will release a score album for the Epix original series Godfather of Harlem. The full details of the soundtrack album for the drama The Song of Names have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed, orchestrated and conducted by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs, The Departed, Hugo, The Aviator, The Hobbit). Ray Chen is the featured solo violinist. Also included is the original title song written by Shore, featuring words by Jeffrey Caine and performed by Daniel Mutlu. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 13 by Decca Records (click here to order). A CD version will be coming out the following week and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the World War I drama 1917. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Finding Nemo, Skyfall, Wall-E, Road to Perdition). The soundtrack will be released on December 20, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 1917 is directed by Sam Mendes and stars George MacKay, Dean-Charles Champman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie takes place at the height of the First World War and follows two young British soldiers, Schofield who must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers.
