The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Stargirl have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Nerve, Love, Simon, The Way Back, Foxcatcher, (500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, Tully). Also included are the songs from the movie by Grace VanderWaal, Graham Verchere and Big Star. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 13 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. Stargirl is directed by Julia Hart and stars VanderWaal & Verchere, alongside Giancarlo Esposito, Karan Brar, Darby Stanchfield and Maximiliano Hernandez. The movie is based on Jerry Spinelli’s New York Times’ best-selling young adult novel about an unassuming high schooler who finds himself inexplicably drawn to the free-spirited new girl, whose unconventional ways change how they see themselves and their world. Gustavo Santaolalla to Score HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’ TV Series

Video Game creative director Neil Druckmann announced on Twitter that Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, 21 Grams, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life) is attached to compose the music for the upcoming HBO original series The Last of Us. The show based the PlayStation video game of the same title developed by Naughty Dog, which takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed and follows a hardened survivor who is hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, The Hangover Part II & III) is writing the TV show and will also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Druckmann, Carolyn Strauss (Game of Thrones, Treme) and Naughty Dog president of game development Evan Wells. Ryuichi Sakamoto (The Revenant, The Last Emperor, The Sheltering Sky, Snake Eyes) has been tapped to score the upcoming Chinese drama Love After Love. The film is directed by Ann Hui (A Simple Life, Our Time Will Come, The Golden Era) and stars Eddie Peng and Ma Sichun. The movie is based on Eileen Chang’s short story Aloeswood Incense and tells the story of a young woman from Shanghai who travels to Hong Kong, borrows money, and falls in with a rich crowd whose luxury lifestyle is beyond her means. Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Jurassic World: Dominion. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, BD Wong and Isabella Sermon and BD Wong who are reprising their roles from the previous Jurassic World and Jurassic Park films. They are joined by new cast members Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, DeWanda Wise and Scott Haze. No plot details have been announced yet.
