Cypress Hill member/percussionist Eric Bobo has made his feature film scoring debut on the new Netflix documentary LA Originals. The film is directed by Estevan Oriol and explores the culture and landmarks of the chicano and street art movement that cemented the director’s and photographer Estevan Oriol’s status as behind-the-scenes hip hop legends. The movie feature interviews with Snoop Dogg, Kobe Bryant, Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Pharrell, Blink-182, Michelle Rodriguez, Cypress Hill, Wilmer Valderrama, George Lopez, among others. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama Tuscaloosa. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joshua Mosley (Bernie the Dolphin, Rock Steady Row) and Matt Hutchinson (Tainted Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Tuscaloosa is co-written and directed by Philip Harder and stars Devon Bostick, Natalia Dyer, Marchånt Davis, Tate Donovan, YG, Ella Rae Peck and Birgundi Baker. The movie is set in Alabama, 1972 and follows a young man as he falls for a patient at his father’s mental asylum, when his childhood best friend becomes involved in a radical civil rights movement against Tuscaloosa’s power elite. The full details of the second soundtrack album for the final season of Lucasfilm’s animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth episode from Season 7 composed by Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Narcos: Mexico, Titans, Making a Murderer). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 10 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released, a soundtrack album featuring selections of Kiner’s score from the show’s first six seasons and another album featuring the composer’s music from the first four episodes of the final season.
