Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q, Bridge to Terabithia, The Proposal, Sex and the City: The Movie) has composed a new score for the upcoming family comedy The War with Grandpa. The film is directed by Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run) and stars Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, Oakes Fegley, Rob Riggle, Christopher Walken, Cheech Marin and Jane Seymour. The movie is based on Robert Kimmel Smith’s bestselling book and follows a boy who is forced to move out of his room when his recently widowed grandfather moves in and devises outrageous pranks to make his grandfather surrender the room. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller The Silencing directed by Robin Pront and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. The film’s original music is composed by Will Blair & Brooke Blair (Green Room, The Informer, Blue Ruin, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Hold the Dark).
