The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Revenge, How to Be Single, Empire, UnReal, Life of the Party, CHiPs, The Titan). Alex Geringas (Woody Woodpecker, TrollsTopiaTrolls: The Beat Goes On!, Impractical Jokers) is set to compose the original score and write original songs for the upcoming animated fantasy adventure Igraine the Brave. The film directed by Holger Tappe (Animals United, Monster Family) & Volker Engel is based on the novel by Cornelia Funke (Inkheart, The Thief Lord) and follows a  young girl who comes from a family of magicians who wants to be a knight than a wielder of magic. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original anime series Pacific Rim: The Black. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Brandon Campbell (Slender Man, The Letter for the King, The Thinning, Amazing Stories) who previously served as a score coordinator on Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim feature for composer Ramin Djawadi. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, March 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (The Black) is already available now and can be checked out after the jump. Pacific Rim: The Black is created by Greg Johnson & Craig Kyle and features the voices of Gideon Adlon, Calum Worthy and Erica Lindbeck. The show inspired by the 2013/2018 features centers on two siblings who pilot a Jaeger to search for their parents after Kaiju ravage Australia and encounter new creatures, seedy characters and chance allies. golden-globesTrent Reznor, Atticus Ross & Jon Batiste have won the Golden Globe Award in the Original Score category for Pixar’s animated feature Soul. Reznor & Ross have previously received their first Golden Globe for David Fincher’s The Social Network and were also nominated this year for their music for Fincher’s Mank. The other composers nominated in the Best Original Score category were Ludwig Göransson (Tenet), Alexandre Desplat (The Midnight Sky) and James Newton Howard (News of the World). In the Original Song category, Diane Warren, Laura Pausini & Niccolo Agliardi won the award for the song Io Si (Seen) from Eduardo Ponti’s The Life Ahead. Premiering tomorrow, March 1, is the NBC mystery drama Debris created by J.H. Wyman and starring Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz and Scroobius Pip. The show’s original music is composed by Raney Shockne (Queen of the South, Anger Management, The To Do List, Kevin Can Wait, The Wedding Year). The series, which revolves around a secretive international agency that is tasked with the mystery of a wreckage that starts falling from the sky, will air every Monday night on NBC. Also premiering tomorrow is the Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell directed by Emmett Malloy and executive produced by Sean Combs, Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal & Brendan Malloy about the life of one of the most influential rappers. Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, Sand Castle, The Dissident) has composed the film’s original score. Rhino Atlantic will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell. The album features a selection of songs by the film’s subject, The Notorious B.I.G. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 1 and will be available to stream/download here. Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell is directed by Emmett Malloy (The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Out Cold) and offers a fresh look at the life of one of the most influential rappers of all time on his journey from hustler to rap king, by those who knew him best. The album features the composer’s original music from the movie and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Red Dot is co-written and directed by Alain Darborg and stars Nanna Blondell, Anastasios Soulis, Thomas Hanzon, Johannes Kuhnke, Tomas Bergström, Kalled Mustonen and Anna Azcárate. Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) confirmed during a recent appearance on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream that he is attached to score George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa. The film will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller (The Witches of Eastwick, Happy Feet, Baby: Pig in the City) is co-writing the screenplay with Nick Lathouris and is also producing the project with Doug Mitchell (Babe, Dead Calm). Holkenborg (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Black Mass, Divergent) has previously scored 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and is also collaborating with Miller on the upcoming Three Thousand Years of Longing. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide is the live-action/animated feature Tom & Jerry directed by Tim Story and starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost and Ken Jeong. The show’s original music is composed by Christopher Lennertz (The BoysLost in SpaceSausage PartyAgent Carter,  Horrible BossesSupernatural). Opening in select theaters today before expanding nationwide on March 12 is the drama The Father co-written and directed by Florian Zeller and starring Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Mark Gatiss, Rufus Sewell, Imogen Poots and Olivia Williams. Ludovico Einaudi (The IntouchablesThis Is EnglandSamba) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release.
