Premiering tonight is the fourth season of the HBO original series In Treatment developed by Jennifer Schuur & Joshua Allen and starring Uzo Aduba, Anthony Ramos, Liza Colón-Zayas, Quintessa Swindell, John Benjamin Hickey and Joel Kinnaman. Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Queen & Slim, We Are Who We Are, Mainstream, Palo Alto) is composing the original music for the new season. Check out our previous news article to learn more about the drama, which will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

Premiering on Thursday, May 27, is the Netflix anime series Eden created by Justin Leach and starring Ruby Rose Turner, David Tennant, Rosario Dawson, Neil Patrick Harris, JP Karliak, Cassandra Lee Morris and Julie Nathanson. Kevin Penkin (Tower of God, Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero) is composing the show’s original music. ‘Blast Beat’ Soundtrack Released

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Blast Beat. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Murillo R. (Who Killed Sara?, Dad Wanted, Between Sea and Land). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Blast Beat is co-written and directed by Esteban Arango and stars Mateo Arias, Moises Arias, Wilmer Valderrama, Kali Uchis, Ashley Jackson, Diane Guererro and Daniel Dae Kim. The movie tells the story of a metalhead science prodigy and his aimless younger brother who leave their native Colombia for the United States in the summer of ‘99 and struggle to align the American Dream with their new reality. ‘Above the Rim’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Death Row Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 sports drama Above the Rim co-written and directed by Jeff Pollack and starring Duane Martin, Tupac Shakur, Leon Robinson, Marlon Wayans and Wood Harris. The album features the songs from the film, including three bonus tracks that were not included on the original 2xPlatinum best-selling 1994 record: Pain by 2Pac & Stretch, Mi Monie Rite! by Lord G and Loyal to the Game by 2Pac, Treach, & Riddler. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music outlets, including Amazon. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the sports comedy drama Dream Horse directed by Euros Lyn and starring Toni Collette, Damian Lewis, Owen Teale, Joanna Page, Anthony O’Donnell, Karl Johnson, Steffan Rhodri, Nicholas Farrell and Sian Phillips. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Woodgates. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select U.S. theaters and on VOD today is the Australian crime thriller The Dry co-written and directed by Robert Connolly and starring Eric Bana, Genevieve O’Reilly, Keir O’Donnell and John Polson. Peter Raeburn (Woodshock, Nancy, Tell Me Your Secrets, Photograph) has composed the film’s original music. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened in Australian theaters. Terror Vision Records has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1987 supernatural horror thriller The Gate directed by Tibor Takács and starring Stephen Dorff, Christa Denton, Louis Tripp, Kelly Rowan and Jennifer Irwin. The album features the film’s original music composed by J. Peter Robinson (Cocktail, The Bank Job, The World’s Fastest Indian, Wayne’s World) & Michael Hoenig (The Blob, Strange World, The Wraith, Above Suspicion). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here and in any other major digital music stores. A vinyl edition was announced earlier this year and is available to order on Amazon. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Citizen Penn. The album features the film’s original score composed by Linda Perry (of of the former rock band 4 Non Blondes) (Kid 90, Punky Brewster). Also included is the original song Eden (To Find Love) performed by Bono who also co-wrote the track with Perry. Universal-Island Records has released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ docu-series 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Cat Stevens, The Who, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Leon Russell, Diana Ross, The Beach Boys & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. A vinyl edition is set to be released later this year. 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything is executive produced by Asif Kapadia & James Gay-Rees and explore the musicians and soundtracks that shaped the culture and politics of 1971. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime series Eden. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kevin Penkin (Tower of God, Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Penrose Steps, A.I. Bloom) is already being released today and can be checked out after the jump. Eden is created by Justin Leach and features the voices of Ruby Rose Turner, David Tennant, Rosario Dawson, JP Karliak, Neil Patrick Harris, Cassandra Lee Morris and Julie Nathanson. The Qubic Pictures and CGCG Studio production directed by Yasuhiro Irie revolves around a human girl secretly raised by robots who starts to uncover the dark secrets behind her lush, utopian world where humanity has all but vanished.
