Premiering tonight is the new CBS drama Matlock developed by Jennie Snyder Urman inspired by the classic 80s/90s series of the same name and starring Kathy Bates, Skye P. Marshall, Jason Ritter, Leah Lewis and David Del Rio. The show’s original music is composed by Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Wrestlers, Twisted Metal, Fright Krewe, Obliterated, Good Sam, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Florida Man). Also premiering tonight is the FOX drama Rescue: HI-Surf created by Matt Kester and starring Robbie Magasiva, Arielle Kebbel, Adam Demos, Zoe Cipres, Alex Aiono and Kekoa Kekumano. CJ Mirra (A Banquet, Make or Break, Kidnapped, Nascondino) is composing the show’s original music. Platoon has released the theme song from the new Mexican Apple TV+ original series Midnight Family (Familia de Medianoche). Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Por La Calle written, produced and performed by Meme del Real (of the Mexican rock band Café Tacvba) & his brother Renato del Real. ‘Hounds of War’ Soundtrack Released

Rebel Production has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Hounds of War. The album features the film’s original music written by the composer team (credited in the movie as Vlad Vilnyy, Evgenii Wick & Nick Ostwind). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Also listen to the composers’ first track (Nuttertools) after the jump. Available separately as a digital single are three tracks written for the project by electronic music artist Vladtoseeu (click here to stream/download). Hounds of War is directed by Isaac Florentine and stars Frank Grillo, Rhona Mitra, Leeshon Alexander and Robert Patrick. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Transformers One directed by Josh Cooley and starring Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Jon Hamm and Laurence Fishburne. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone). Sony Classical/Milan Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). Available separately as a digital single is an original end credits song by Quavo, Ty Dolla $ign and Tyler as ARE WE DREAMING (click here to listen to the track and to learn more about the Paramount Pictures release).

Also opening wide is the satirical body horror movie The Substance written and directed by Coralie Fargeat and starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, Hugo Diego Garcia, Joseph Balderrama and Dennis Quaid. Raffertie (The Continental: From the World of John Wick, White Dragon, Bull, One Way, Zone 414) has composed the film’s original music. Waxwork Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. The show is created by Matt Kester and stars Robbie Magasiva, Arielle Kebbel, Adam Demos, Alex Aiono, Kekoa Kekumano and Zoe Cipres. The series follows the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawaii, the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world. ‘White Bird’ Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age period drama White Bird. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Finding Nemo, The Shawshank Redemption, 1917, Skyfall, Road to Perdition,  Wall-E, Elemental). Also included is the original song Little Bird written by Newman, with lyrics by R.J. Palacio and performed by lead actress Ariella Glaser. Also listen to the composer’s title track and the song below. White Bird is directed by Marc Forster and also stars Orlando Schwerdt, Gillian Anderson, Helen Mirren and Bryce Gheisar. The movie based on the book by Palacio is set in the same universe as 2017’s hit feature Wonder and follows the character of Julian who left Beecher Prep and is visited by his grandmother from Paris who tells him stories of her childhood as a young Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, The Witcher, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid: Redemption, Project Power) is the composer of the new NBC drama Brilliant Minds. The show is created by Michael Grassi (Riverdale, Katy Keene) and stars Zachary Quinto, Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Aury Krebs, Alex MacNicoll, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears and Donna Murphy. The medical drama is inspired by the life and work of author and physician Oliver Sacks and follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while grappling with their own relationships and mental health. ‘The Other’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 psychological horror thriller The Other directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Uta Hagen, Diana Muldaur, Chris Udvarnoky & Martin Udvarnoky. The Deluxe Edition album features the first-ever release of the complete original score (in stereo) from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, Patton, Poltergeist, Gremlins). Visit the label’s official website to order the CD version. Silva Screen Records has released the first soundtrack album for the ITV drama Grace. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first four seasons composed by Matthew Slater (Tom Jones, Endeavour). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Sandy Grace) after the jump. Grace is created by Russell Lewis based on the Roy Grace novels by Peter James and stars John Simm, Richie Campbell, Rakie Ayola, Amaka Okafor, Laura Elphinstone, Brad Morrison, Craig Parkinson and Adrian Rawlins. ‘Sudden Death’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced a new “deluxe edition” soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Sudden Death directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Powers Boothe, Dorian Harewood and Raymond J. Barry. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf, The Jungle Book, Horizon: An American Saga, Bruce Almighty, Hocus Pocus), including over half an hour previously unreleased music. A CD version is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release and a digital version will also be coming out next Friday, September 27 (click here to stream/download).
