Decca Records has released the cover version of the hit song Time to Say Goodbye (Con te partirò) from the In Memoriam segment of last night’s 96th Academy Awards ceremony. The new version of the song (originally written by Francesco Sartori & Lucio Quarantotto) is produced and arranged by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight) and performed by Andrea Bocelli with Matteo Bocelli. The track written by the film’s composer Gene Back (Shortcomings, Cowboys, Holler) and performed by Andrea Bocelli & Virginia Bocelli and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Decca Classics has released the original song Gratia Plena from the faith-based drama Fatima. The track, which is written by the film’s composer Paolo Buonvino (Medici, Fathers & Daughters, Romanzo Criminale) and performed by Andrea Bocelli, is now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon. Check out the official music video below. The track is also included on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which has just been released this past Friday. Fatima directed by Marco Pontecorvo and starring Joaquim de Almeida, Goran Višnjić, Sônia Braga, Stephanie Gil, Lúcia Moniz and Harvey Keitel is now playing in select theaters and is also available to stream on PVOD.
‘Fatima’ Soundtrack Album Details
Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for the faith-based drama Fatima. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paolo Buonvino (Fathers & Daughters, Medici, Romanzo Criminale, Quiet Chaos). Also included is the original song Gratia Plena written by the composer and performed by Andrea Bocelli, as well as two other tracks performed by the opera singer. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically within the next few weeks. The CD version is now available to pre-order on Amazon and a digital version will be available to stream/download here. Andrea Bocelli to Perform Theme Song for Guan Hu’s ‘The Eight Hundred’
Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is providing the theme song for the upcoming Chinese war epic The Eight Hundred (Ba bai). The film is directed by Guan Hu (Mr. Six, Cow) and tells the story of a group of Chinese soldiers and draft dodgers in 1937 who put up a four-day defense of a Shanghai warehouse complex just as Japanese forces are overwhelming China. Andrew Kawczynski is scoring the film and previously announced composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Crown) is writing the theme for the Huayi Bros. production, which marks the first Chinese feature to be shot with Imax digital cameras.
