Mark Kilian has recently composed the music for the pilot of the upcoming ABC drama Of Kings and Prophets. The show is created by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Accepted, Tower Heist) and stars Ray Winstone, Haaz Sleiman, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Oliver Rix, Simone Kessell, James Floyd, Mohammad Bakri and Tomer Kapon. The biblical drama centers around a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet, and a resourceful young shepherd who are on a collision course with destiny. Cooper and Collage are also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Jason Reed, Reza Aslan and Mahyad Tousi.

Jeff Russo and Ben Decter to Score CBS’ ‘Extant’ Season 2
Jeff Russo and Ben Decter are the new composers of the CBS series Extant. The show is created by Mickey Fisher and stars Halle Berry, Goran Visnjic, Pierce Gagnon, Camryn Manheim and Grace Gummer. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has also joined the cast of season 2. The show follows a female astronaut who discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction, and that she and a mysterious stranger may be the only hope for survival. The first season of the Amblin Television and CBS Television Studios production was scored by Marcelo Zarvos.
‘Ripper Street’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC series Ripper Street. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Dominik Scherrer (Primeval, The Missing). The soundtrack will be released overseas on June 15 and is now available as an import on Amazon. Ripper Street is created by Richard Warlow (Mistress) and stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, Myanna Buring and David Dawson.The series is set in and around Whitechapel in London’s East End in 1889 during the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper murders and centers on the notorious H Division, which is charged with keeping order in the chaotic East London streets.
Gabriel Mann Scoring Fox’s ‘Rosewood’, ABC’s ‘Dr. Ken’ and CBS’ ‘Angel from Hell’
Gabriel Mann has composed the score for three network pilots that have recently been picked up to series, including the Fox drama Rosewood. The show is created by Todd Harthan (Psych, Skinwalkers) and stars Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle and Maggie Elizabeth Jones. The series the most brilliant private pathologist in Miami, who uses his wildly sophisticated autopsy lab, to perform for-hire autopsies to uncover clues that the Miami PD can’t see. Richard Shephard (Dom Hemingway, The Matador) has directed the pilot episode. Harthan is also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Mary Bowen & Wyck Godfrey (The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner, Revenge).
WaterTower Music to Release ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Soundtrack
WaterTower Music will release the fifth soundtrack album for the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. The album features selections from the show’s original score of Season 5 composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Person of Interest, Clash of the Titans, The Strain). Amazon’s ‘Lost in Oz’ to Feature Theme Music by Mark Mothersbaugh and Score by Adam Berry
Mark Mothersbaugh is writing the theme music and Adam Berry is composing the original score for the Amazon Studios pilot Lost in Oz. The animated show is set in a modern, metropolitan Emerald City in which 12-year-old Dorothy Gale befriends West, a young, street-smart witch grappling with dark temptations, and Ojo, a giant munchkin. Bureau of Magic’s Darin Mark, Jared Mark, Abram Makowka and Mark Warshaw (East Los High, Smallville) are developing and producing the project, which is designed by Flaunt Productions and animated by Arc Productions (9, Gnomeo & Juliet).

Premiering on Thursday, May 14 is the Fox limited series Wayward Pines executive produced by Chad Hodge & M. Night Shyamalan and starring Matt Dillon, Melissa Leo, Toby Jones, Juliette Lewis, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Reed Diamond and Shannyn Sossamon. The show’s original music is composed by Charlie Clouser (Saw series, Numb3rs, Resident Evil: Extinction). Wayward Pines is set in a small town in the Pacific Northwest and follows a Secret Service agent who begins a missing persons investigation that quickly reveals a more sinister and creepy side of the town. Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the History original series Vikings. The album features selections from the original music from the third season of the show composed by Trevor Morris (The Tudors, The Borgias, Immortals, Olympus Has Fallen). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 18, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released soundtrack albums for the show’s first and second season. Universal Music Group Nashville will release a soundtrack album for the History event series Texas Rising. The album features the show’s original music composed by Oscar nominees John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water) and Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone, Young Sherlock Holmes). Also included is the original song Take Me To Texas written by Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark, as well as a cover version of the Tom Petty classic I Won’t Back Down performed by Kris Kristofferson and the original piece Igual Que Yo performed by guitarist José Feliciano. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 18, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
