Shogun Music has released the first soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Wild Isles. The album features the original music from the show’s first episode, Our Precious Isles, composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet, Groundhog Day, Hitch, Ever After, Gandhi). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the first track after the jump. More albums featuring the composer’s score from the other four episodes of the series are expected to come out over the next couple of weeks. Wild Isles is presented by Sir David Attenborough, executive produced by Alastair Fothergrill and reveals a previously unseen wild side of the British Isles.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (March 12, 2023)
Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series A Spy Among Friends created by Alexander Cary based on Ben Macintyre’s bestselling book and starring Damian Lewis, Guy Pearce, Stephen Kunken, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Adrian Edmondson. The show’s original music is composed by Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Essex Serpent). Check out our previous article to learn more about the Nick Murphy-directed 6-parter, which premiered in the UK last fall on ITVX and is making its U.S. debut on MGM+.
Premiering on Friday, March 17, is the Hulu original movie Boston Strangler written and directed by Matt Ruskin and starring Keira Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, David Dastmalchian, Morgan Spector, Robert John Burke and Chris Cooper. Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Wormwood) has composed the film’s original music. George Fenton Scoring BBC’s ‘Wild Isles’
George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Anna and the King, Hitch, Gandhi) has composed the original music for the new BBC natural history series Wild Isles. The 5-parter presented/narrated by Sir David Attenborough was filmed over three years and uses the latest technology to capture dramatic new behavior, from battling butterflies to hunting sea eagles and killer whales – revealing a previously unseen wild side of the British Isles.
First Song from ‘Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies’ Soundtrack Released
Capitol Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the upcoming Paramount+ original series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Grease Is the Word (originally written by Barry Gibb for the 1978 film) produced by Daniel Crean & Eren Cannata and performed by the show’s cast. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. is developed by Annabel Oakes and stars Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, Shanel Bailey, Tricia Fukuhara, Madison Thompson, Jason Schmidt, Johnathan Nieves, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper and Jackie Hoffman.
‘The Glory’ Part 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Genie Music has released a new soundtrack album for the South Korean Netflix original series The Glory. The album features selections of the original music from show composed by Jung Se Rin (A Frozen Flower, Barefoot Dream, Trolley), Joo In Ro, Kim Taejin, Kim Jun Seok, Kang Min Goo & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring five songs from the first part of the show. The Glory is created by Kim Eun-sook & An Gil-ho and stars Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Yeom Hye-ran, Lim Ji-yeon and Park Sung-hoon.
Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Scoring Hulu’s ‘UnPrisoned’
Grammy Award-winning songwriters/music producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have made their television scoring debut on Onyx Collective’s new Hulu original series UnPrisoned. They also serve as the executive music producers on the show created by Tracy McMillan and starring Kerry Washington, Delroy Lindo, Faly Rakotohavana, Marque Richardson and Jordyn McIntosh. The comedy is based on McMillan’s life and centers on a messy but perfectionist relationship therapist and single mom whose life is turned right-side-up when her dad gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son.
‘Rana Naidu’ Soundtrack EP Released
Netflix Music has released the first soundtrack EP for the Indian Netflix original series Rana Naidu. The 6-track EP features six songs from the show written by Sangeet Haldipur & Siddharth Haldipur, with lyrics by Puneet Sharma. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. Also listen to all six tracks below. Rana Naidu is created by Karan Anshuman based on Showtime’s Ray Donovan and stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati, Surveen Chawla, Abhishek Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra, Sushant Singh, Ashish Vidyarthi and Suchitra Pillai. The drama tells the story of a son who can fix everything but his relationship with his father.
Soundtrack Album for Syfy’s ‘Reginald the Vampire’ to Be Released
Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release the first soundtrack album for the Syfy original series Reginald the Vampire. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Adam Lastiwka (Travelers, The Astronauts, Family Law, Big Timber, You Me Her). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 10. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Reginald the Vampire is created by Harley Peyton based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant and stars Jacob Batalon, Mandela Van Peebles and Em Haine. The horror comedy is set in a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires and follows the title character as he discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own.
Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Crossfire’ to Be Released
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Crossfire. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Nainita Desai (For Sama, Funny Woman, The Reason I Jump, The Tower, 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, American Murder: The Family Next Door). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Crossfire is created by Louise Doughty and stars Keeley Hawes, Josette Simon, Anneika Rose, Vikash Bhai, Lee Ingleby, Daniel Ryan, Hugo Silva, Alba Brunet, Shalisha James-Davis and Ariyon Bakare. The 3-part thriller revolves around a woman on holiday with her family and friends whose world is turned upside down when shots ring out across her hotel’s complex.
‘School Spirits’ Main Title Theme Song Released
Viacom International has released the main title theme from the new Paramount+ original series School Spirits. The track, entitled Long Gone, is written by the show’s composer Anna Waronker (Yellowjackets, Shrill, Call Me Kat, I Love That for You) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon.
