Andrew Lockington Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Landman’
Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Rampage, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Atlas, Frontier) has been tapped to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Landman. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Hell or High Water) and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, Jacob Lofland, James Jordan, Paulina Chávez, Mark Collie and Demi Moore, as well as Jon Hamm will star in a recurring guest role with Andy Garcia & Michael Peña appearing as guest stars. The drama based on the podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and tells modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs.
‘Doctor Zhivago’ Miniseries Digital Soundtrack Album Released
RTI has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 2002 British miniseries Doctor Zhivago directed by Giacomo Campiotti and starring Hans Matheson, Keira Knightley, Sam Neill and Kris Marshall. The album features selections of the original music from the 3-part drama composed by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, The Father, Samba, La Tresse, La petite, This Is England). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Universal Classics has previously the original soundtrack album on CD in 2003.
Jerry Goldsmith at ‘The General Electric Theater’ Album CD Release Announced
Intrada Records has announced a CD release of Jerry Goldsmith‘s music composed for the CBS 1950s/60s anthology TV series The General Electric Theater. The composer’s scores, which have previously been available individually as digital EPs, have been newly recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and reconstructed and conducted by Leigh Phillips. The music from the following episodes is featured on the album: Hitler’s Secret, The Last Dance, The Committeeman, The Legend That Walks Like a Man, Sarah’s Laughter, My Dark Days and The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky. Also included is Autumn Love, a suite composed for the CBS music library.
‘You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released
Lee Mendelson Film Productions will a new soundtrack for the 1972 animated television special You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown created by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez. The album features premiere release of complete score from the eighth Peanuts special composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Boy Named Charlie Brown), including never-before-heard bonus or alternate tracks. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Hart (The Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon, The Old Man and the Gun, Interview with the Vampire, A Ghost Story, Peter Pan & Wendy, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints). Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO original documentary Quad Gods directed by Jess Jacklin, produced by Johnny Fego & Jacklin and executive produced by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. Gary Gunn (A Thousand and One) has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which follows the lives of three New Yorkers with quadriplegia that meet in a neuro-rehabilitation lab where they create the world’s first fully quadriplegic e-sports team, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will air on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

The show is developed by Katie Robbins based on the book The Dark Manual by Colin O’Sullivan and stars Rashida Jones, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Judy Ongg, Joanna Sotomura, YOU, annie the clumsy and Jun Kunimura. The 10-part mystery comedy drama follows an American woman living in Kyoto, Japan, whose life is upended when her husband and son disappear in a mysterious plane crash and – as a consolation price – is given one of a new class of domestic robots made by her husband’s electronics company.
