The Newton Brothers have been tapped to score the upcoming drama Kodachrome. The film is directed by Mark Raso (Copenhagen) and stars Jason Sudeikis, Ed Harris, Elizabeth Olsen, Bruce Greenwood and Dennis Haysbert. The movie is based on A.G. Sulzberger’s 2010 New York Times article For Kodachrome Fans, Road Ends at Photo Lab in Kansas and revolves around a father and son who take a road trip to Kansas in order to develop photographs at Kodak’s last Kodachrome lab before it closes its doors for good.

Gustavo Santaolalla Scoring Thierry Klifa’s ‘Tout nous sépare’
Gustavo Santaolalla is reteaming with director Thierry Klifa on the upcoming French drama Tout nous sépare. The film stars Catherine Deneuve, Diane Kruger, Nicolas Duvauchelle and Nekfeu. No plot details have been revealed yet. Klifa also co-wrote the screenplay with Cedric Anger (Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart). François Kraus & Denis Pineau-Valencienne (L’ennemi intime), Maxime Delauney and Romain Rousseau are producing the project. Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries) has previously scored Klifa’s last feature, My Mother’s Eyes.
Tuomas Kantelinen Scoring ‘Iron Sky: The Coming Race’
Tuomas Kantelinen is currently recording his score for the upcoming sci-fi action adventure comedy Iron Sky: The Coming Race. The film is directed by Timo Vuorensola and stars Lara Rossi, Vladimir Burlakov, Kit Dale, Udo Kier, Julia Dietze and Tom Green. The movie is the sequel to 2012’s hit feature Iron Sky in which a group of Nazis plan to take over the world after lying dormant in a secret military base on the moon. Vuorensola is also producing the project with Tero Kaukomaa (Everlasting Moments) and Samuli Torssonen.
A Winged Victory for the Sullen Scoring Francis Lee’s ‘God’s Own Country’
A Winged Victory for the Sullen (aka Dustin O’Halloran & Adam Wiltzie) have composed the music for the British drama God’s Own Country. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Francis Lee and stars Josh O’Connor, Alec Secareanu, Ian Hart and Gemma Jones. The movie follows a young farmer in Yorkshire who numbs his daily frustrations with binge drinking and casual sex, until the arrival of a Romanian migrant worker for lambing season ignites an intense relationship that sets him on a new path. Manon Ardisson and Jack Tarling are producing the project.
Andrew Hewitt to Score ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle’
Andrew Hewitt has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller We Have Always Lived in the Castle. The film is directed by Stacie Passon (Concussion) and stars Alexandra Daddario, Taissa Farmiga, Sebastian Stan, Joanne Crawford and Crispin Glover. The movie is based on the horror novel of the same title by Shirley Jackson and follows an isolated family, which has already lost four members to poisoning, that uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. Passon also co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Kroger.
Nick Cave & Warren Ellis Scoring Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Wind River’
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have composed the original music for the upcoming thriller Wind River. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Sicario) and stars Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen and Jon Bernthal. The movie centers on an FBI agent who teams with the town’s veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation. Sheridan also wrote the screenplay. Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Patriots Day, Lone Survivor) is producing the project with Matthew George (LBJ), Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Clash of the Titans), Elizabeth A. Bell and Wayne Rogers.
Daniel Pemberton Scoring Peter Landesman’s ‘Felt’
Daniel Pemberton is currently scoring the upcoming political thriller Felt. The film is written and directed by Peter Landesman (Concussion, Parkland) and stars Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Tony Goldwyn, Josh Lucas, Michael C. Hall, Marton Csokas, Tom Sizemore, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ike Barinholtz, Bruce Greenwood, Brian D’Arcy James, Noah Wyle, Maika Monroe, Colm Meaney and Eddie Marsan. The movie tells the story of Mark Felt, who under the name “Deep Throat” helped journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein uncover the Watergate scandal in 1974.
John Paesano to Score Steven S. DeKnight’s ‘Pacific Rim 2’
John Paesano has signed on to score the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Pacific Rim 2. The film is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) and stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tiang, Cailee Spaeny, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Zhang Jin, Chen Zitong, Lan Yingying and Qian Yong Chen. No plot details have been revealed yet. Thomas Tull & Jon Jashni (Godzilla, The Great Wall, Warcraft) and Mary Parent (The Revenant) are producing the Legendary Entertainment production with Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth) who helmed the original film, as well as Boyega & Femi Oguns for their Upper Room production company.
Ludwig Göransson to Score Stella Meghie’s ‘Everything, Everything’
Ludwig Göransson has been hired to score the upcoming romantic drama Everything, Everything. The film is directed by Stella Meghie (Jean of the Joneses) and stars Amandla Stenberg, Nick Robinson, Anika Noni Rose and Ana de la Reguera. The movie is based on Nicola Yoon’s bestselling young adult novel of the same title and follows a teenager who has lived a sheltered life because she’s allergic to everything, and falls for the boy who moves in next door. J. Mills Goodloe (The Age of Adaline, Pride) wrote the screenplay.
Zoe Lister-Jones’ ‘Band Aid’ to Feature Music by Lucius
The indie pop band Lucius has composed the original score for the upcoming indie drama Lucius. The movie centers on a couple who turn their fights into songs as a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. The film is written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones (Breaking Upwards, Consumed, Lola Versus) who also stars in the movie alongside Adam Pally, Fred Armisen, Susie Essman, Hannah Simone and Ravi Patel. Lister-Jones is also producing the project with Natalia Anderson. The project marks the feature scoring debut of the band.
