Will Blair and Brooke Blair have been tapped to score the upcoming indie thriller Sweet Virginia. The film is directed by Jamie Dagg (River) and stars Jon Bernthal, Christopher Abbott, Imogen Poots, Rosemarie DeWitt and Odessa Young. The movie follows a former rodeo star who unknowingly starts a rapport with a young man who is responsible for all of the violence that has suddenly gripped his small town. Ben and Paul China wrote the Black List-honored screenplay.
Hauschka to Score ‘Hotel Mumbai’
Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) has signed on to score the upcoming thriller Hotel Mumbai. The film is directed by Anthony Maras and stars Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Anupam Kher, Jason Isaacs and Nazanin Boniadi. The movie is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai and tells the true story of the 2008 Pakistani terrorist attacks on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India. Maras also co-wrote the screenplay with John Collee (Master and Commander, Happy Feet). Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Sicario, John Wick), Gary Hamilton (The Courier), Mike Gabrawy (A Few Best Men), Andrew Ogilvie and Julie Ryan (Red Dog) are producing the Arclight Film, Thunder Road, Electric Pictures and Cyan Films production.

Dan Jones has been hired to score the upcoming drama On Chesil Beach. The film is directed by Dominic Cooke (The Hollow Crown) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Billy Howle, Emily Watson, Samuel West, Anne-Marie Duff, Adrian Scarborough and Bebe Cave. The movie based on the best-selling novel by Ian McEwan (Atonement) is set in the 1960s and how a blissful honeymoon is ruined by a misunderstanding between nervous virgin newlyweds. McEwan also wrote the screenplay. Elizabeth Karlsen (Carol, Made in Dagenham) and Stephen Woolley (Interview with the Vampire, The Crying Game) are producing the project.

Rob Simonsen is composing the score for the upcoming coming-of-age drama The House of Tomorrow. The film marks the directorial debut of Peter Livolsi and stars Asa Butterfield, Alex Wolff, Ellen Burstyn, Nick Offerman, Maude Apatow and Michaela Watkins. The movie is based on Peter Bognanni’s novel of the same name and tells the story of futurist, architect and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller through two teens hoping to get laid, become punk gods and survive high school. Livolsi also wrote the screenplay.
