Jeff Rona is set to reteam with director Todd Robinson on the upcoming political drama The Last Full Measure. The film is written and directed by Robinson and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli and Linus Roache. The movie follows a Pentagon investigator who reluctantly teams with veterans of the 1966 Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic who is seen saving the lives of over 60 Marines ambushed during the Vietnam War. Timothy Scott Bogart, Mark Damon (Monster), Lauren Selig, Julian Adams, Nicholas Cafritz, Robert Reed Peterson and Shaun Sanghani (King Cobra) are producing the project.

Joey Stephens Scoring Max Winkler’s ‘Flower’
Joey Stephens has composed the music for the upcoming comedy drama Flower. The film is directed by Max Winkler (Ceremony) and stars Zoey Deutch, Kathryn Hahn, Tim Heidecker, Adam Scott, Joey Morgan and Dylan Gelula. The movie centers on the unlikely bond that forms between a sexually adventurous teenage girl and her obese, mentally unstable step-brother. Winkler also co-wrote the screenplay with Alex McAulay and Matt Spicer (Ingrid Goes West) who is also producing the project with Eric B. Fleischman (Sleight), Brandon James and Sean Tabibian (Carnage Park, The Remains).
‘Ghost in the Shell’ to Feature Music by Lorne Balfe
Lorne Balfe has composed original music for the upcoming film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. He is credited as the film’s composer alongside Clint Mansell who was previously announced as the movie’s composer. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the film’s score later this month. The sci-fi adventure is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. The movie based on the Japanese manga of the same title created by Masamune Shirow will be released nationwide on March 31, 2017 by Paramount Pictures.
James Edward Barker to Score Andrew Haigh’s ‘Lean on Pete’
James Edward Barker has been hired to score the upcoming drama Lean on Pete. The film is written and directed by Andrew Haigh (45 Years, Looking, Weekend) and stars Charlie Plummer, Steve Buscemi, Chloe Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, Steve Zahn, Amy Seimetz, and Thomas Mann. The movie is based on Willy Vlautin’s novel of the same title and follows a fifteen-year-old boy who takes a summer job with a washed-up horse trainer and befriends a failing racehorse named Lean On Pete. Tristan Goligher (45 Years) is producing the project for The Bureau.
David Shire Scoring ‘Love After Love’
David Shire (All the President’s Men, The Conversation, Zodiac, Short Circuit) has recently scored the upcoming indie drama Love After Love. The film is directed by Russell Harbaugh and stars Chris O’Dowd, Andie MacDowell, James Adomian, Juliet Rylance, Dree Hemingway and Gareth Williams. The movie revolves around a mother and her two adult sons as they deal with the death of their family’s patriarch. Harbaugh also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Mendelsohn. Lucas Joaquin (Love Is Strange, Little Men), Lauren Haber (Trophy) and Michael Prall (The Mend, The Strange Ones) are producing the project.
Fernando Velazquez Scoring Wim Wenders’ ‘Submergence’
Fernando Velazquez is composing the music for the upcoming romantic thriller Submergence. The film is directed by Wim Wenders (Buena Vista Social Club, Wings of Desire, Pina) and stars James McAvoy, Alicia Vikander, Charlotte Rampling and Alexander Siddig. The movie is based on the novel by J.M. Ledgard and tells the story of a water engineer who is taken hostage in Somalia by Jihadist fighters who suspect that he is a British spy. Erin Dignam (The Yellow Handkerchief, The Last Face) wrote the screenplay. Cameron Lamb (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter, Syrup) is producing the project for Lila 9th Productions with Neue Road Movie Dritte Produktionen.
Grégoire Hetzel Scoring Arnaud Desplechin’s ‘Ismael’s Ghosts’
Grégoire Hetzel is currently scoring the upcoming drama Ismael’s Ghosts (Les fantômes d’Ismaël). The film is written and directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Kahn) and stars Marion Cotillard, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Mathieu Amalric and Louis Garrel. The movie follows a widowed film director who is in the middle of making a film about an atypical diplomat inspired by his brother when her life is sent into a tailspin by the return of a former lover. Desplechin co-wrote the screenplay with Julie Peyr and Lea Mysius.

Raf Keunen is reuniting with director Michael Roskam (The Drop) on the upcoming crime drama Racer and the Jailbird. The film starring Matthias Schoenaerts and Adèle Exarchopoulos is set against the background of a brutal crime gang in Brussels and centers on a gangster who meets and falls for a young racing driver with very upper-class roots. Roskam also wrote the screenplay with Thomas Bidegain (A Prophet, Rust and Bone) and Noé Debré (Dheepan). Bart Van Langendonck (The Ardennes) is producing the project for Savage Film, alongside Pierre-Ange Le Pogam (Hitman, Grace of Monaco) for Stone Angels.

Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have recently recorded their score for the upcoming documentary LA 92. The film is directed by Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin who received an Academy Award for the 2011 documentary Undefeated and tells the definitive story of the 1992 Los Angeles riots from the inside and from the point of view of those involved, using unseen personal footage and news archives, and testimonies of those who lived through it. The movie is produced by National Geographic.
