The film is directed by Emmett & Brendan Malloy and stars Maika Monroe, Jennifer Garner, Milo Gibson, Elisabeth Rohm, Goran Visnjic, Justin Kirk, Noah Silver, Joely Fisher and Stevie Lynn Jones. The movie is based on Joy Nicholson’s YA novel and follows two teenagers who move to the beach community of Palos Verdes with their parents as their mother teeters on the brink of a nervous breakdown.

David Bateman to Score ‘Man in Red Bandana’
David Bateman has been hired to score the upcoming documentary Man in Red Bandana. The film is written and directed by Matthew J. Weiss and is narrated by Gwyenth Paltrow. The documentary tells the story of Welles Crowther, a 24-year old equities trader on the 102nd floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center who’s credited with saving at least a dozen lives before the building collapsed. Chad A. Verdi & Joshua Sason (Bleed For This) and Tom DeNucci are producing the project. Lyle Lovett is performing an original song for the movie.
Alexander Bornstein Scoring ‘Black Site Delta’
Alexander Bornstein has composed the score for the upcoming action thriller Black Site Delta. The film is directed by Jesse Gustafson (Day 39) and stars Cam Gigandet, Teri Reeves and Jeremy Sande. The movie follows the leader of a “Dirty Dozen” band of military prisoners who must fight off a terrorist attack on the remote “black site” prison where they’re being held, which, unknown to them, is a cover for a secret drone control facility. Rich Benattar (Shoot ‘Em Up, Ironclad) and Nigel Thomas (The Numbers Station, Kill Ratio) are producing the project.
Benjamin Wallfisch to Score Andrés Muschietti’s ‘It’
Benjamin Wallfisch has been hired to score the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s It. The film is directed by Andrés Muschietti (Mama) and stars Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jack Dylan Grazer. The movie based on King’s bestselling novel centers on seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.
Atticus Ross & Leopold Ross to Score Adam Wingard’s ‘Death Note’
Adam Wingard announced on Twitter that Atticus Ross and Leopold Ross are scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie Death Note. The film is directed by Wingard and stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Lakeith Stanfield, Willem Dafoe and Shea Whigham. The movie is based on the Japanese manga and follows a young man as he begins killing those he deems unworthy of life when he is intoxicated by the power of a supernatural notebook.
Walter Mair Scoring ‘3 Way Junction’
Walter Mair is composing the music for the upcoming drama 3 Way Junction. The film is directed by Juergen Bollmeyer and stars Tom Sturridge, Stacy Martin and Tommy Flanagan. The movie follows a London architect who travels to the grand dunes of the Namibian Desert to escape, but ends up finding himself stranded alone, desperately waiting for a ride that never comes. Don Bohlinger (The Experiment, Elles) and Jessica Hundley wrote the screenplay. Maggie Monteith (Searching For Sugar Man) is producing the project for Dignity Films, alongside Michael Auret (Young Ones) for Spier Films and Oliver Stoltz (Live, Above All).
Edward Shearmur Scoring ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul’
Edward Shearmur is currently recording his score for the upcoming family comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. The film is directed by David Bowers (Flushed Away, Astroboy) and stars Jason Ian Drucker, Charlie Wright, Owen Asztalos, Tom Everett Scott and Alicia Silverstone. The movie based on Jeff Kinney’s best-selling book series follows Greg Heffley as he convinces his family to go on a summer road trip to attend Meemaw’s 90th birthday – although really he hopes to secretly attend what he thinks is a nearby gamer convention.

Brian Ralston has signed on to score the upcoming comedy drama Rose. The film is written and directed by Rod McCall (Paper Hearts, Lewis & Clark & George) and stars Cybill Shepherd, James Brolin and Pam Grier. The movie centers on a recently disabled and widowed woman with a short time to live who is taking a solo road trip through the “land of enchantment” in an effort to reconcile with her estranged son and make her peace with life. J. Todd Harris (The Kids Are All Right, Bottle Shock) and Eric A. Williams are producing the project.
Jay Wadley to Score ‘Cruise’
Jay Wadley has been hired to score the upcoming romantic drama Cruise. The film is written and directed by Robert D. Siegel (Big Fan, screenwriter of The Wrestler & The Founder) and stars Emily Ratajkowski, Spencer Boldman, Kathrine Narducci, Noah Robbins and Sebastian Maniscalco. The movie is set during the summer of 1987 and revolves around a working-class Italian-American who falls for a Jewish girl from Long Island. Alex Garcia and Laura Walker are producing the project for AG Capital will produce the film, alongside Holly Brown and Scott LaStaiti (Jane Got a Gun).
Mark Isham Scoring John Ridley’s ‘Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992’
Mark Isham is scoring the upcoming documentary Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992. The film is written and directed by John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, Shame) and explores the city-wide violence that began April 29, 1992, when the verdict was announced in the Rodney King case. The movie delves beyond the conflict between law enforcement and the black community to look at tensions across the city as a whole. Ridley is also producing the project. Isham has previously collaborated with Ridley on the TV series American Crime, which currently airs in its third season Sunday nights on ABC.
