Marc Chouarain is reuniting with Melanie Laurent on the upcoming thriller Galveston. The film is written and directed by Laurent and stars Ben Foster, Elle Fanning, Beau Bridges, Adepero Aduye, Lili Reinhart, Maria Valverde, Robert Aramayo and C.K. McFarland. The movie is based on the novel by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective) and follows a hitman who rescues a young prostitute and flees with her to Galveston, Texas, where the two find strength in each other as dangerous pursuers and the shadows of their pasts follow close behind. Tyler Davidson (Take Shelter, Compliance) is producing the project.

Jóhann Jóhannsson Revealed as Original Composer for Marc Forster’s ‘Christopher Robin’
Jóhann Jóhannsson‘s manager Tim Husom revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the composer had signed on to score Disney’s upcoming fantasy drama Christopher Robin before he passed away last week. The film directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, World War Z) and starring Ewan McGregor & Hayley Atwell tells the story of Robin, the little boy from the Winnie the Pooh series, who is now all-grown-up and lost all sense of imagination. The movie is currently set to be released on August 3, 2018. Jóhannsson was also set to score the upcoming HBO mini-series Chernobyl as revealed by the project’s creator Craig Mazin last week.
Frederik Wiedmann Scoring York Alec Shackleton’s ‘#211’
Frederik Wiedmann is scoring the upcoming thriller #211. The film is directed by York Alec Shackleton and stars Nicolas Cage as a police officer, following his efforts to stop a bank robbery. 211 is police code for “robbery in progress.” Amanda Cerny, Sophie Skelton, and Michael Rainey Jr. are co-starring. Jonathan Yunger & Jeffrey Greenstein (Security) are producing the project and Yariv Lerner, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short & Scott Karp are executive producing the Millennium Films and Nu Image production.

Cat’s Eyes (aka Faris Badwan and Rachel Zeffira) have composed the music for the upcoming thriller Elizabeth Harvest. The film is written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez (Judas Kiss, Girl Walks Into a Bar) and stars Abbey Lee, Ciaran Hinds, Carla Gugino, Matthew Beard and Dylan Baker. The movie is a science fiction reimagining of the French folktale of Bluebeard, in which a violent nobleman in the habit of murdering his wives is confronted by a new wife trying to avoid the fate of her predecessors.
John Debney to Reteam with Tom Shadyac on ‘Brian Banks’
John Debney is reteaming with director Tom Shadyac on the upcoming biographical drama Brian Banks. The film starring Aldis Hodge and Greg Kinnear tells the true story of Banks, an All-American high school football player committed to USC by his junior year whose life was upended in 2002 when he was falsely accused of rape. Doug Atchison (Akeelah and the Bee) wrote the screenplay. Amy Baer (Last Vegas) is producing the project with Shivani Rawat & Monica Levinson (Captain Fantastic, Trumbo).
Giona Ostinelli & Sonya Belousova Scoring Brian A. Miller’s ‘Reprisal’
Giona Ostinelli & Sonya Belousova are scoring the upcoming action thriller Reprisal. The film is directed by Brian A. Miller (Vice, The Prince) and stars Bruce Willis, Frank Grillo and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. The movie follows a bank assistant manager after a robbery at his bank ends in two dead and he barely escapes with his life. When the police comes up empty handed, he teams up with his ex-cop neighbor to launch their own investigation. Bryce Hammons wrote the screenplay. Randall Emmett & George Furla (Lone Survivor, Escape Plan, 2 Guns) are producing the project for Emmett Furla Oasis Films.

Jeremy Turner has recently composed the original score for the upcoming indie comedy Family. The film is written and directed by Laura Steinel and stars Taylor Schilling, Bryn Vale, Brian Tyree Henry, Jessie Ennis, Blair Beeken, Matt Walsh, Allison Tolman, Eric Edelstein, Kate McKinnon and Fabrizio Guido. The movie revolves around an emotionally stunted 30-year-old woman who is tasked with watching her awkward and bullied 12-year-old niece for the week and finds her life unfurling when the girl runs away to be a juggalo.

The movie imagines what would happen if Knoxville and his cohorts irresponsibly designed and operated their own theme park.
