Screen Daily is reporting that Faithless member Sister Bliss is in talks to score the upcoming comedy How to Sell a War. The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of author and documentary filmmaker Rudolph Herzog (son of Werner Herzog) and is set to star Katherine Parkinson and Lily Newmark. The movie follows a PR consultant, and her naive new intern, working for a global charity concert, trying to keep the event on track despite interference from a Russian warmonger. Tim Price wrote the screenplay based on an idea by Raid Sabbah. Samantha Taylor and Mike Downey (The Border Post, Deathwatch) are producing the project.

The film is written and directed by Megan Griffiths (Eden, Lucky Them) and stars Melanie Lynskey, Sophia Mitri Schloss, John Gallagher Jr., Danielle Brooks, Tony Hale, Keith Williams and Tee Dennard. The movie tells the story of a 13-year-old girl who lives at home with her mother while her father serves repeated tours in the military. The movie is set in the near future and tells the story of a team of astronauts on a space station who make a terrifying discovery involving a new energy source and their desperate fight for survival. Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Doug Jung (Star Trek: Beyond, Confidence) wrote the screenplay. J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek, Lost, Alias) and Lindsey Weber are producing the project for Bad Robot Productions.
‘The Monkey King 3’ to Feature Original Music by Yu Kobayashi
Yu Kobayashi has composed the original music for the upcoming Chinese fantasy action adventure sequel The Monkey King 3. The film is directed by Soi Cheang who also helmed the first two parts in the series and stars Aaron Kwok, William Feng, Zanilia Zhao, Xiaoshenyang and Him Law. The movie follows the Monkey King and his companions as they are taken captive by the Queen of an all-female land, who believes them to be part of an ancient prophecy heralding the fall of her kingdom. Cheang is also producing the project.
Max Richter to Score ‘Mary, Queen of Scots’
Max Richter has been hired to score the upcoming historical drama Mary, Queen of Scots. The film is marks the directorial debut of Josie Rourke, artistic director of The Donmar Warehouse, and stars Saoirse Ronan in the title role, alongside Margot Robbie as Elizabeth I. David Tennant, Guy Pearce, Jack Lowden, Martin Compston, Joe Alwyn and Brendan Coyle are co-starring. The movie is based on John Guy’s biography My Heart is My Own: The Life of Mary Queen of Scots and explores the turbulent life of the charismatic Mary Stuart. Beau Willimon (The Ides of March, House of Cards) wrote the screenplay.
