The film is directed by Ciaran Foy (Sinister 2, Citadel) and stars Charlie Shotwell, Lili Taylor, Kelly Reilly, Max Martini and Sadie Sink. The movie centers on a young boy undergoing treatment for a rare disease at a secluded clinic, which becomes a haunted prison with no way out. David Chirchirillo (Cheap Thrills), Ian Goldberg (Fear the Walking Dead) and Richard Naing (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) wrote the screenplay.

Fil Eisler Scoring Ben Falcone’s ‘Superintelligence’
Fil Eisler is reuniting with director Ben Falcone (The Boss, Tammy) on the upcoming action comedy Superintelligence. The movie starring Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, James Corden, Brian Tyree Henry and Sam Richardson follows a former corporate executive whose life is turned upside down when she is selected for observation by the world’s first super-intelligence – an artificial intelligence that may or may not take over the world. Steve Mallory wrote the screenplay.
RZA to Score ‘Angel of Dust’
Deadline is reporting that RZA is attached to score the upcoming horror thriller Angel of Dust. The Wu-Tang Clan member will also direct the movie, which follows a normal yet exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper who – after the mysterious death of his parents – is forced to grow up in NY’s roughest inner-city street. RZA is also producing the project with Ghostface Killah and Impossible Dream Entertainment’s Shaun Redick (BlacKkKlansman). Matt Leslie & Stephen J. Smith (The Harrowing, Summer of ’84) wrote the screenplay.
Henry Jackman Scoring Matthew Michael Carnahan’s ‘Mosul’
Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Kong: Skull Island) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Mosul. The film is marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon, The Kingdom) and tells of the true story of an elite police unit made up almost entirely of native sons of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, who fought to liberate it from 6,000 ISIS militants who overran it in 2014. Carnahan also wrote the screenplay based on articles by Luke Mogelson.
Siddhartha Khosla Scoring Netflix’s ‘Beats’
Siddhartha Khosla is composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original movie Beats. The film is directed by Chris Robinson (ATL) and stars Anthony Anderson, Uzo Aduba, Khalil Everage, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Paul Walter Hauser and hip hop artists Dave East and Dreezy. The drama revolves around an agoraphobic hip-hop prodigy and a disgraced former music manager cross paths in Chicago’s South Side and help each other face demons of their pasts.
Brian McOmber Scoring Annabelle Attanasio’s ‘Mickey and the Bear’
Brian McOmber (It Comes at Night, Krisha, Ugly) is scoring the upcoming indie drama Mickey and the Bear. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Annabelle Attanasio and stars Camila Morrone, James Badge Dale, Calvin Demba, Ben Rosenfield and Rebecca Henderson. The movie follows a teenage girl who has to keep her single, veteran father afloat, navigating his mercurial moods, opioid addiction, and grief over the loss of his wife. Attanasio also wrote the screenplay.
Ethan Gold Scoring Jacob Estes’ ‘Relive’
Ethan Gold (The Song of Sway Lake) has composed the original music for the upcoming thriller Relive. The film is directed by Jacob Estes (The Details) and stars David Oyelowo, Storm Reid, Mykelti Williamson, Alfred Molina, Brian Tyree Henry and Shinelle Azoroh. The movie follows a man who – after a man’s family dies in what appears to be a murder – gets a phone call from one of the dead, his niece. Estes also co-wrote the screenplay with Drew Daywalt.
John Powell to Score Chris Sanders’ ‘Call of the Wild’
John Powell is reteaming with director Chris Sanders (The Croods, Lilo & Stitch) on the upcoming adventure drama Call of the Wild. The film stars Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford, Cara Gee and Omar Sy. The movie is based on Jack London’s 1903 novel and tells the story of a sled dog that tries to survive the Alaskan wilderness as well as a series of abusive owners. Michael Green (Logan, Blade Runner 2049) wrote the screenplay. Erwin Stoff (Edge of Tomorrow, Unbroken) is producing the project.
Peter Raeburn Scoring Ritesh Batra’s ‘Photograph’
Peter Raeburn (Woodshock, Nancy) has recently scored the upcoming drama Photograph. The film is written and directed by Ritesh Batra (The Lunchbox, Our Souls at Night, The Sense of an Ending) and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra. The movie is set in Mumbai and centers on a struggling street photographer, pressured to marry by his grandmother, who convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiancée. Neil Kopp, Vincent Savino (Blue Ruin, Certain Women) and Neil Kopp & Anish Savjani (Green Room, Wendy and Lucy) are producing the Amazon Studios production.
James Newton Howard to Score Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’
James Newton Howard has signed on to score the upcoming action adventure Jungle Cruise. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop, The Shallows, Unknown) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez, Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti and Jack Whitehall. The movie based on the Disney theme park attraction of the same name follows a boat captain who takes his sister and her brother on a mission to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. Johnson is also producing the project with Dany Garcia (Snitch) & Hiram Garcia (Rampage, Skyscraper), as well as Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth), John Davis (Predator, I, Robot) and John Fox (Game Night, The Blacklist).
