Singer/songwriter James Righton (of the former new rave band Klaxons) is set to score the upcoming comedy Maria. The film is written and directed by Simon Amstell and will star Felicity Jones, Jonathan Bailey and Jason Isaacs. The movie follows a young woman with a history of running from reality who spots an opportunity to feel young, free and desirable at her father’s wedding, where she meets her new stepbrother. Louise Palmkvist Hansen (90 Minutes) is producing the project for EMU Films.

Hans Zimmer (Dune, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama The Son. The film is directed by Florian Zeller (The Father) and stars Hugh Jackman, Vanessa Kirby, Laura Dern, Zen McGrath and Anthony Hopkins. The movie is based on Zeller’s stage play of the same name and follows a man whose life is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife turns up with their troubled, distant and angry teenage son. Zeller also co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Hampton (Dangerous Liaisons, Atonement).

Singer/songwriter and hip-hop artist St. Panther (aka Daniela Bojorges-Giraldo) has made her feature film scoring debut on the new Hulu original movie Crush.
