Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 historical drama Pope Joan directed by Michael Anderson and starring Liv Ullmann, Olivia de Havilland, Franco Nero, Jeremy Kemp, Leslie-Anne Down, Natasha Nicolescu, Peter Arne, Patrick Magee and Maximilian Schell. The album features the newly remastered score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, Ghost, Gorillas in the Mist, Witness, No Way Out, Jacob’s Ladder).. The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. Harkit Records has previously released the premiere soundtrack for the title on CD back in 2009.

‘The Killing of Sister George’ World Premiere Soundtrack Release Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1968 drama The Killing of Sister George directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Beryl Reid, Susannah York, Coral Browne, Patricia Medina, Ronald Fraser, Hugh Paddick and Cyril Delevanti. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Gerald Fried (Star Trek: The Original Series, Roots, Mission: Impossible, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Gilligan’s Island). The limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more information about the soundtrack. A digital version is expected to be released on all major digital music platforms in the coming months.
John C. Reilly’s Original Song ‘Birdie’ from ‘Heads or Tails?’ Released
Folkgang Records has released the original song Birdie from the Italian western Heads or Tails? (Testa o Croce?). The track written by the film’s composer Vittorio Giampietro and actor John C. Reilly (who stars as Buffalo Bill) and performed by Reilly is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the song after the jump. As previously reported, a full soundtrack album featuring Giampietro’s original score from the movie was released last October. Heads or Tails? is co-written and directed by Alessio Rigo de Righi & Matteo Zoppis and also stars Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Alessandro Borghi, Mirko Artuso, Gabriele Silli, Peter Lanzani and Gianni Garko.
‘The Desert Child’ Soundtrack Album Released
Long Distance has released a soundtrack album for the French family adventure The Desert Child (L’enfant du désert). The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Wolf and the Lion,Autumn and the Black Jaguar, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian, The History of Love). Also listen to the composer’s title tracks after the jump. The Desert Child is directed by Gilles de Maistre and stars Nahel Tran, Nahil Bouazzaoui, Zayn Sekkat and Kev Adams. The movie follows a 14 year-old girl who publishes a story about a tribal child raised by ostriches that her grandfather has been telling her since she was little and – after a local community hears about her book – gets invited to the Sahara, where she meets a Nomad girl of her own age.
‘Mother Mary’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for David Lowery’s psychological drama Mother Mary have been revealed. The album features the film’s original songs written by Jack Antonoff & Charli XCX and FKA twigs and performed by lead actress Anne Hathaway. Mother Mary: Greatest Hits will be released digitally on April 17 by A24 Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two first tracks (Burial & My Mouth Is Lonely for You) have already been released as digital singles over the last few weeks. A separate album featuring Daniel Hart’s original score from the movie will be announced soon. Mother Mary is written and directed by Lowery and also stars Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, Kaia Gerber, Atheena Frizzell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Sian Clifford, Alba Baptista and Isaura Barbé-Brown.
‘Romería’ Soundtrack Released
Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/German drama Romería. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ernest Pipó (Summer 1993). Romería is written and directed by Carla Simón and stars Llúcia Garcia, Mitch, Tristán Ulloa, Alberto Gracia, Sara Casasnovas, José Ángel Egido, Marina Troncoso, Janet Novás and Celine Tyll. The movie tells the story of a follows 18-year-old girl, orphaned at a young age, as she visits Spain’s Atlantic coast to meet her paternal grandparents for the first time and pieces together memories of her parents with the stories told by relatives who have their own secrets to protect.
Expanded ‘Rocky II’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1979 sports drama Rocky II written and directed by Sylvester Stallone and starring Stallone himself, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers and Burgess Meredith. The album features the film’s expanded original score from the second installment in the Rocky feature series composed by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (The Right Stuff, The Karate Kid, For Your Eyes Only, The Thomas Crown Affair, Masters of the Universe), including minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. United Artists Records/Capital Records have previously released the original 1979 soundtrack album.

A24 Music has released the song Again from the romantic comedy The Drama. The track is written by FAKETHIAS (who also produced the song) & Elusin and performed by Katie Fash and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
