Gimple, Danai Gurira & Andrew Lincoln and starring Lincoln, Gurira, Pollyanna McIntosh, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Andrew Bachelor and Craig Tate. The show’s original score is composed by Sam Ewing (Last Seen Alive, The Shed, Beautiful Disaster/Wedding, Victor Crawley) who previously co-scored the final seasons of the original The Walking Dead series and produced by Bear McCreary. Premiering on Tuesday, February 27, is the FX limited series Shōgun developed by Rachel Kondo & Justin Marks based James Clavell’s book and starring Cosmo Jarvis, Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Tadanobu Asano, Takehiro Hira, Hiroto Kanai and Shinnosuke Abe. Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli) & Nick Chuba (Dr. Death, The Girl from Plainville) have composed the show’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past Friday. Premiering on Wednesday, February 28, is the Disney+ animated event series Iwájú written by Adeola & Halima Hudson, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios & Kugali and starring Simisola Gbadamosi, Dayo Okeniyi, Siji Soetan, Femi Branch and Weruche Opia. The show’s original music is composed by Ré Olunuga (Rise, Girl, Coming from Insanity, Up North). Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this coming week. Also premiering on Wednesday is the Netflix original film Code 8: Part II co-written and directed by Jeff Chan and starring Robbie Amell, Stephen Amell, Alex Mallari Jr., Sirena Gulamgaus, Aaron Abrams, Jean Yoon and Moe Jeudy-Lamour. Ryan Taubert (American Exit, Freedom’s Path, The Stolen Valley) who previously scored 2020’s original film has composed the movie’s original music. The sci-fi action sequel, which follows an ex-criminal who must turn to a drug lord he despises to protect a teen from a corrupt cop, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering on Friday, March 1, is the British Apple TV+ original series The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis & Stuart Lane and starring Noel Fielding, Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Hugh Bonneville, Tamsin Greig, Duayne Boachie, Dolly Wells, Joe Wilkinson, Asim Chaudhry and Mark Heap. The show’s original music is composed by Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, Breeders, The Full Monty, How to Build a Girl) & Nick Foster (Thunderbirds Are Go, Lover, Stalker, Killer, Greatest Days, Misha and the Wolves). Also premiering on Friday is DreamWorks Animation’s TV series Megamind Rules! and the feature Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate developed by Alan Schoolcraft & Brent Simons and starring Keith Ferguson, Laura Post, Maya Aoki Tuttle, JEmily Tunon, osh Brener, Talon Warburton, Scott Adsit, Chris Sullivan, Tony Hale and Jeanine Mason. Matthew Janszen (Fatal Affair, Aquaman: King of Atlantis, Bugs Bunny Builders, Love Accidentally) and Bryan Winslow (Vacation Home Nightmare) have composed the original score for both the film and TV show.
