Matthew Herbert (DisobedienceA Fantastic WomanGloria BellThe Cave) has composed the original music for the upcoming BBC series Noughts + Crosses. The show is based on Malorie Blackman’s young adult novel series of the same title and stars Jack Rowan, Masali Baduza, Paterson Joseph, Bonnie Mbuli, Kike Brimah, Helen Baxendale, Ian Hart and Josh Dylan and Shaun Dingwall. The sci-fi drama adapted by Toby Whithouse (Being Human), Lydia Adetunji, Nathaniel Price and Rachel De-Lahay follows two young people who are divided by their color but united by love. Whitehouse is also executive producing the Mammoth Screen production with Preethi Mavahalli (The War of the Worlds, Next of Kin), Kibwe Tavares, Patrick Reardon, Jeff Skoll, Miura Kite, Damien Timmer (Poldark, Victoria) and Ben Irving (Doctor Who, His Dark Materials). Noughts + Crosses will premiere in the UK this year on BBC One.
