Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans are scoring the upcoming psychological thriller The Lodge. The film is directed by Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy) and stars Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell, Lia McHugh, Alicia Silverstone, Richard Armitage and Daniel Keough. The movie centers on a young woman and her reticent new stepchildren who find themselves isolated in the family’s remote winter cabin, locked away to dredge up the mysteries of her dark past and the losses that seem to haunt them all. Franz & Fiala also co-wrote the screenplay with Sergio Casci (The Caller). Simon Oakes (The Woman in Black, Let Me In), Aliza James and Aaron Ryder (Arrival, The Prestige, Mud) are producing the project. The Lodge will premiere later this month at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

As reported last year, Bensi & Jurriaans (Boy Erased, The Gift, Enemy) have also scored the Naomi Watts-starring thriller The Wolf Hour, which will also premiere at Sundance. The composers also wrote the music for the upcoming documentary Bedlam. The film is directed by Kenneth Paul Rosenberg and follows a psychiatrist as he makes rounds in ERs, jails, and homeless camps to tell the intimate stories behind one of the greatest social crises of our time. Rosenberg is also producing the project with Peter Miller. Bedlam will premiere in competition at Sundance.

The composers’ other upcoming projects also include new seasons of Netflix’s Ozark, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead and Starz’s American Gods.
