The film directed by Joshua Zeman (The Sons of Sam: A Descent into Darkness, The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52) is set during the early days of the Ukraine-Russian war, when the the Feldman Ecopark, an animal refuge in Ukraine’s second largest city, found itself caught in the crossfire. The movie centers chronicles the efforts of a courageous team of zookeepers and volunteers who risked their lives to bring thousands of animals that were left trapped with little food and water to safety. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1981 animated sci-fi fantasy anthology feature Heavy Metal directed by Gerald Potterton and starring John Candy, Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, Rodger Bumpass, Alice Playten, John Vernon, Jackie Burroughs, Don Francks, Joe Flaherty, Martin Lavut, Marilyn Lightstone, Percy Rodriguez, Susan Roman, August Schellenberg, Richard Romanus and Zal Yanovsky. The 2-CD set features the newly remastered original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Magnificent Seven, Far from HeavenGhostbusters, Animal House, AirplaneStripes), including the score presentation on the first disc and the content of the original 1981 score album on the second disc. The album features thirteen hits by the Canadian singer, including My Heart Will Go On, The Power of Love, Because You Loved Me, A New Day Has Come, among others. Also included are seven tracks from the film’s original score composed by Redi Hasa and produced by Alberto Fabris.
