Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the action adventure The Legend of Tarzan directed by David Yates and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent and Christoph Waltz. The film’s original music is composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Over the Hedge, Bee Movie, Hotel Rwanda, Click). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as two original songs by Hozier and Zoe Mthiyane. Also opening wide is the fantasy adventure The BFG directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Mark Rylance, Ruby Barnhill, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Penelope Wilton, Rafe Spall and Bill Hader. John Williams (Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ Soundtrack Details

WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for the action adventure The Legend of Tarzan. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Over the Hedge, Bee Movie, Hotel Rwanda, Click). Also included are the original songs Opar by Zoe Mthiyane and Better Love by Hozier. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Legend of Tarzan is directed by David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent and Christoph Waltz. The movie follows the title characters years after he left the jungle and is invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge.

‘Open Season: Scared Silly’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack album for the animated sequel Open Season: Scared Silly have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Bee Season, Click, Over the Hedge) and Dominic Lewis (Free Birds, The Man in the High Castle). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 1, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Open Season: Scared Silly is directed by David Feiss and features the voices of Donny Lucas, Will Townsend, Trevor Devall, Kathleen Barr, Garry Chalk and Melissa Sturm. The movie follows former hunter Shaw who seizes on the opportunity to re-open open season as a case of mistaken identity leads both humans and animals to believe there is a monstrous werewolf on the prowl in Timberline National Forest.

Hans Zimmer and Rupert Gregson-Williams have recently recorded their music for the upcoming Netflix original series The Crown. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, The Last King of Scotland) and stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby and John Lithgow. The 10-parter is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades. The Sony Pictures TV and Left Bank Pictures production is executive produced by Morgan, Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader), Andy Harries (The Damned United), Suzanne Mackie (Calendar Girls), Philip Martin (The Forger), Robert Fox (Notes on a Scandal), Tanya Seghatchian (My Summer of Love) and Matthew Byam Shaw.

Premiering on Thursday, December 10, is the NBC movie Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors directed by Stephen Herek (Mr. Holland’s Opus, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) and starring Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroder, Gerald McRaney and Alyvia Alyn Lin. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Leggett (My Name is Earl, Anne Frank’s Holocaust) and Velton Ray Bunch (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) who previously collaborated on the theme for the NBC drama The Pretender. The movie is set in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955 and tells the story of the incidents in Dolly Parton’s and her family’s life around the time she was nine years old. Premiering on Friday, December 11, is the Netflix original movie The Ridiculous 6 directed by Frank Coraci and starring Adam Sandler, Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Will Forte, Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Blake Shelton, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Jorge Garcia, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, Nick Swardson and Jon Lovitz. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Click, Bee Movie, Veep, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Bedtime Stories) and Elmo Weber has composed the film’s original music. The comedy western follows an outlaw who was raised by Native Americans and, alongside his five brothers, goes on a mission to find their wayward, deadbeat dad. The film will be available to stream on Netflix.

Rupert Gregson-Williams is set to score the upcoming Netflix original movie The Do Over. The comedy is directed by Steven Brill (Mr. Deeds, Without a Paddle, Little Nicky) and stars Adam Sandler, David Spade, Paula Patton, Nick Swardson and Luis Guzman. The film follows two down-on-their-luck guys who decide to fake their own deaths and start over with new identities, only to find the people they’re pretending to be are in even deeper trouble. Chris Pappas (Unhitched) and Kevin Barnett (Hall Pass, The Heartbreak Kid) have written the screenplay.
